My Mother is currently at Pecan Manor. The staff takes time for your questions. They are very caring and listen to your concerns. Mom enjoys the activities and tells me about the fun they have. All the residents are clean and encouraged to participate. My mom loves that she is not in the big city but more in the country.

Pecan Manor accepts a variety of payments including Medicaid which most of these places do not, which I understand. It looks like a nursing facility, which gave us a little set back at first because it was really hard for my two daughters to acknowledge that their father needed to be in a nursing facility. However, the first thing that impressed me was their staff. I went there eight different times before we decided, and I went there sometimes unannounced, but I never once saw anyone who was short-tempered with the residents or any of that. They are extremely pleasant, loving, and smiling. They're caring for my husband physically. Every time I go there, he has been kept clean. Also I rarely walked through the front door with them not hugging me. It's been a good experience given our circumstances. The staff is mostly younger staff and they're loving to the residents. They also have lots of activities like bingo and even for residents who can't really comprehend how to do that any longer, they help them so that they can feel like they're playing. They also have entertainment that comes in for them.

Pecan Manor is a fantastic home for my mother. The staff is overall professional, caring, and compassionate. The ladies running the place were very kind in answering all of my questions and concerns. They have many activities for my mother to participate in and often hold parties and little festivals. It's very homely and small, so I know for a fact she is getting the care she needs and is not neglected at all.
