Evergreen at Hulen Bend

We visited Evergreen at Hulen Bend in Fort Worth about 2 months ago. It's independent living and it's the one that we've applied for my friend to get an apartment because it's right at the top of her budget. It's like $1,030 a month but it's really, really nice and huge. We picked it because even if there would be a delay in trying to get an apartment approved, they have enough vacant ones that if she misses out on the one she likes, they will have another one available for her. The place is clean and they have a lot of activities. There are things that she can do on-site because she doesn't drive. It's also close to a bus route, which is also one of her main things. The staff was nice, friendly, and informative. They have a dining room so some of the residents can get a meal plan there. My friend cooks for herself and it was also not mealtime during our visit so we kind of just walked through that. We didn't really get to see any of the food or anything. The place is so homely. When you walk into the building, the office where you fill out the application is to the right, and to the left is a sitting room with a sofa and a couple of chairs for clients who come in and are waiting to see one of the agents. The person who toured us also took us by the gym which looked really nice. It is a big place. The only thing that I would say may be an issue is how open it is when you come out of your apartment so if it's raining or storming, you could easily get wet if you want to get on to the next building.
