Assisted Living Reviews for Rapha Residential Care

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My father is currently at Rapha and I am so impressed with the staff. They are warm caring and understanding. They take the time to update me when I ask questions. It is obvious that my Dad is loved and cared for at Rapha. I am comfortable that while it is not the newest or the fanciest place it is definitely provides the very best care.

I visited this facility
I didn't like the dementia part of Rapha Residential Care. The room was really small, but the staff was pleasant. We had an appointment on a Saturday, but there was no one there, so we had to go back and one of the CNAs took us around. They served three meals a day.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
I am a case worker and I referred a world war veteran to Rapha Residential. The facility is terrific and the staff really cares about the people they work with. They have a physician that comes once a month. The rooms are very nice, clean, and comfortable, but not fancy. The residents have lots of activities. The person I put there has become very active as a result of being in that facility. The food is very good too.

I visited this facility
Rapha Residential Care was not a good fit for my mom. It wasn't a welcoming environment in my opinion, and it was like in the rural area with not very much around as far as stimulating activities to engage my mom in. I didn't see too much activity going on with the residents that are there now. The people were nice, the ones that I've met, but I just didn't like the location. The facility could have been a little bit cleaner, and the furniture could have been updated. The person who showed me around was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I didn't see too much that was going on there. They did have a dining area, and I didn't see an activity chart anywhere, and I don't recall seeing too many of the staff members there. I only met two of the staff members, and I think one was in maintenance and the other one was the nurse. She was at the front desk as I was ending my tour.
The building itself was OK, but the front steps as you go in were full of debris. It looked like it hadn't been spray washed to make it looked clean. It had dirt spots on it. I didn't see any outdoor spaces, and I didn't see an exercise room. The rooms were ample size. They did furnish a bed and chest of drawers, so the family didn't have to be concerned about furnishing a room.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My aunt was a resident of Rapha Residential Care. It's not clean, it is going downhill. We went to see it for my father, and of course, I was not going to put him there. It just wasn't clean enough, and I didn't like the staff.
They need a lot of help with their facilities; it's in a very rundown state. The staff didn't seem very professional.
The food didnt look very appetizing. They did bingo, I believe a lot, and she liked it. The facilities need a lot of help, they need to tear it down and start again. It's too far out; there's nothing close by, so I don't like the location.

I visited this facility
I went to Rapha Residential Care. There wasn't enough communication or interaction with the clients. I didn't see enough staff around compared to the volume of clients that I saw. The facility was a little outdated. There were old carpets, and the hallways were not wide enough that two people can pass at a time (like if you had a wheelchair). The halls just weren't wide enough. The staff wasn't friendly or motivated.
Provider Response
Hi Sharen, I'm sorry you had that experience here at Rapha. Your feedback is important to us. Your tour was right after lunchtime and many residents use this opportunity to rest. We usually give them a little time before beginning our next activity an hour or so later. We strive to interact and provide our residents with multiple activities each day and are always looking for feedback from them to ensure we're providing the activities that they would be most interested in. I understand that some of the hallways are smaller however, it has not been a huge issue in the past. Our rates reflect this and we want to stay in a reasonable rate range that will help those who cannot qualify for Medicaid and do not make enough to pay privately an affordable option. We take your input seriously and appreciate your comments so we can continue to be on the forefront of quality care and great customer service for our residents.
