"I stayed in Rennes Health and Rehab Center Rhinelander. They treated me very good. The staff was very good. The food was good. It's three meals a day, breakfast, dinner, and supper. They got games and things for people to do. They took us on boat rides. I went on a couple of boat rides on the Wisconsin River. It's a very nice place."

"Friendly Village Nursing & Rehab Center was very caring, respectful, and very accommodating. They were very thorough in making sure my father's needs were met, which included getting physical therapy set up, occupational therapy set up, and the rehabilitation organizations set up, even before he had arrived. So, that took a lot of stress off of us. They were all prepared for his arrival. It was the second time my dad was there for rehab. He had originally been discharged about a year ago, went to rehabilitation there, got improved, completed rehabilitation, and then moved down to the Madison, Wisconsin area to an assisted living facility. Then while he was down there, he ended up returning to the hospital and needing rehab after his hospital visit. So, we had him brought back to Friendly Village Nursing & Rehab Center."

"Grace Lodge Assisted Living was nice. They only had a two-bedroom available, so we couldn't look at a one-bedroom, but it was a nice apartment. The lady who toured us was very helpful in answering the questions we had. They serve three meals a day, they do your laundry if you want them to, and there is a room where you can go and just watch TV or do puzzles or read. They also have other activities going on, like when we were there yesterday morning, they were doing an exercise class."

"My uncle lived in Our Home Lac du Flambeau until he died recently. While the last few years of his life were difficult as he didn't know me and kept asking to see my mom who had died nearly 25 years earlier. He was happy at the facility. It isn't fancy and it doesn't have a lot of extra amenities that wow you, it's simple and the care is excellent. It is primarily for those with Alzheimer's so it fit for him. The facility was never dirty when I visited and I knew many of the nurses by name as there seemed to be very little turnover. I appreciated this as continuity is important for memory based patients. The location is a little out of the way, but it's not isolated and this is good as the day to day progression of life is often hard on those with Alzheimer's. The best thing is the natural scenery. Perhaps I am partial being born in the area, but I love the setting, it's so peaceful and scenic it's easy to lose yourself when you sit and look at the world here. Lac du Flambeau is one of those truly hospitable areas and I have never felt any level of danger for my uncle's well being as long as he has been there. Nice facility, good staff, great site. "
