My mother is in Tuttle Care Center for hospice care. We chose this for her because the people were very caring, and I know she needed care because she can't do anything for herself. It just seemed like a good fit, and the price was good. What I like most about it is that the staff is great. The least I like is that they don't have single private rooms. They have physical therapy and occupational therapy. They also play games, and they have music and other things for the residents on the weekend. They came to pick up my mom, and they were on time and very caring. They need a better menu for the seniors than what they have. You also wouldn't really be impressed with the facility until you got inside and talked with the people. It looks like a little cinder building, nothing fancy.

My mom moved into Tuttle Care Center. It's older, but clean, and the staff is outstanding. There are very few activities, including bingo, trivia, and balloon games, and they have a lot of churches that come through and have service and do singing. It's right next door to my work.

My mom is in Tuttle Care Center. They do a lot of stuff. They do two group activities a day, anything from balloon toss to bingo to roulette. They took them to the lake to go fishing the other day. They take them out to go shopping, and they have parties. They have fun activities for the people who live there. A lot of them generally love it, and they like living there. It's a much happier facility. There are places for us to sit and visit when we go. They keep it pretty clean, but it does have smells. I don't like that part. They never stop cleaning the facility. There's always somebody there mopping and cleaning. When you pass certain closets or rooms, it'll smell really bad, where they're either bathing them out or they're picking a diaper up and there's poop, or there is a closet that has all the soiled things in it. There are odors, and that's my only gripe about the whole place. Not all the time are there odors because when we went to visit, we didn't tell them we were coming, and there was no odors whatsoever. In this place, there are a lot of people who are totally coherent, and so it's a happier place. The staff is awesome. Because it's a small facility, they know everybody in there, and they're very nice and accommodating.

I think my dad should have never been in this place. He could have been happier at home than here. This place is clean with no smell. The food was fine most of the time. However, there were instances that they were on a low budget, so they provided meals that nobody wants to eat. People from the outside come to this facility to do rehabilitation if residents need it. The biggest concern in this place is the manager. She is overbearing. She has dollar sign in her eyes instead of patient's care. My dad wanted to go home. She tried to educate my dad, but for me it was bullying. Most of the staff here are over worked. It's understandable that they have to take care of a lot of people, but they were just picking up my dad like a sack of potato. They didn't bother to explain what they were doing. My dad had been independent all his life and he was scared of it. He is still able. It would have been better if they helped him get to a chair rather than just picking him up and transferring him.
