We went to see Otterbein SeniorLife Tipp City. We looked at a duplex home where you live fairly independently, though you can get some help. You have to be assessed, and then they talk to you, and you can let them know how much help you need and what is available. I liked it. They also had long-term care, but what we looked at was the housing, the two-bedroom duplex. I was very impressed with everything I saw and the people I talked to. I think it's very good. We also have a history with them, with a family member who spent six years with them many years ago. Not this particular one, but in another city. That was nothing but really good care, so that was one of the reasons we went to see this place. The staff members who gave the tour were both very knowledgeable, very comfortable, and very warm, and perfect for their job.

My mother was in here with a broken hip. It's an awesome place with very caring staff and small but accommodating rooms. My mother was treated very well there. They had all kinds of activities. They were there for my mother, and everyone's very cordial and accommodating. There's a beauty shop, therapy rooms, bird sanctuary, a very nice outdoor courtyard, and a beautiful front entry that's full of rocking chairs. Their meals were good. Overall, we were highly satisfied. The food was excellent.

I do know that it was a very good facility because we had a friend of ours there for some rehab and they were very good with him. Their facilities were absolutely excellent. It was also a beautiful place. It was bright and cheerful and their people were very good. Everybody was very friendly and seemed very happy to be there. It was just a very open atmosphere. Everything that I saw there was just really there to take care of the needs of their patients and their loved ones.
