I'm in North Park Retirement Community. I only looked at a couple of places; one was so small, and I said no, and the other one was taken already. This was like a little apartment, and this was halfway decent, so I decided to come here. They have bingo, a spa, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. The only thing I don't like is that you have to pay for cable, so you have to rely on the internet connection. My room is OK, better than most that I've seen, but I haven't seen that many. Breakfast isn't too bad. They have birthday parties once a month for those people who have birthdays in that particular month. The staff is responsible, friendly, and helpful.

My husband is getting skilled care at North Park Care Center. I love it there, and we can visit him every day. He's doing rehab right now. He plays bingo. They have activities. The food is OK. It's a very, very good place. People are caring, and they care for the residents' needs. The staff is very friendly. I have no problems with them, and I like them. The facility is brand-new.

They had a dining area and a fireplace, and they were doing some renovations. It was a slightly larger place with 10 or 15 tables set up. They had an area where they did activities, but nothing was going on when we were there. We did look at the apartments. They had the regular activities that all of the places seem to have -- religious services, bingo, and different kinds of games. We were looking specifically for a senior living or assisted living and at North Park. If you're loved one's health declined, they had to be moved to a nursing home. It wasn't all in one, and that was one thing that concerned us. The lady that showed us around was really good. She was prepared for our visit. She showed us everything that we asked and answered all the questions that we had.
