"I've been here at Marysville Post-Acute. Most of the staff members are very good. They have some good people working here. The worst thing about Marysville is their food. It's not so much that the food is bad, but there's not enough of it. If I was an old lady it might be OK, but I'm not. I'm down about 40 pounds right now because of my injury, and I need to gain weight. Right now I'm double portions on every meal, and to me, there's not enough for me because I'm active and I am always on the move, and I need to refill, so I need food. The staff though is good. They try hard. With regard to the building, the structure is good. The cleanliness is good, too."

"My mother-in law was in Yuba City Post-Acute for therapy. It is small, with 60 residents. They helped her in her wheelchair and were so sweet and kind to her. She was in a bigger, clean, and new-looking room because they painted it with two beds. I didn't really like where the TV was located, but she had a window and patio. The food seemed OK but not the greatest. I noticed they had alarms on all the doors. I saw the room where they have interactions with guests. There's a candlelight dinner this week. I'm glad we found that place. "

"No facility is perfect, but I am very happy with the Fountains overall. I am an RN so I am very aware of how patient care should be provided. My mother has been a resident for rehab for two admissions. The rooms are clean, and more spacious that our local hospital. The surroundings are pretty, with gardens, fountains and places to enjoy the sunshine with family. The staff are friendly, caring, and gentle with the residents. Everyone seems happy and eager to help. There are activities everyday. Most are provided by the staff activities department, but there are also people from the community that come in and provide music, karaoke, and best of all a wonderful weekly church service. Other activities are bingo, card games, group stretch and exercise, crafts, nail care and current events discussions. There is a beauty parlor with hair cuts, perms and styling available at very reasonable cost. The therapy department is very good. They encourage the residents to do the prescribed therapy with care and safety. I am very impressed with the food. Every meal that I have seen has been well prepared, pleasantly presented, in more than sufficient quantity. There is a good variety in the menu, so you are not bored eating the same thing every day. Mom is on a regular diet, I am not sure if this applies to all the special diets. Overall we are both very happy and I feel blessed to have such a wonderful facility to help to care for my mom."

"My friend is a resident at River Valley Care Center. I was there for 2 months when I broke my hip. It was very good, the only thing that I really miss is with having a comfortable recliner chair. You either have to sit in your wheel chair, or you're in your bed. And I was hoping to get her a home type atmosphere, where she could have a soft chair to sit in. And me too, when I got home, I sat in my chair, and I thought, oh this is what I miss the most, a comfortable chair that I could put my feet up. I was there for 2 months, and went to the physical therapy program until I could walk and take care of myself, and then I came home. The staff is excellent, they work hard. I'd say that they were probably understaffed, because when you ring for the nurse, sometimes it would take too long for them to get there. The food was moderate, sometimes it was just a sandwich. And I insisted that if they will give me a sandwich, it was always be toasted because I can't chew white bread it's just gummy. It was wheatbread but I like it toasted. It wasn't excellent but it was moderate in food quality. With the Covid19, we couldn't use the dining room, and we did miss that. My room could have been a little bit bigger, because my roommate and I both have wheelchairs and walkers. So, it was a little crowded, but it was very clean, and it was ample. And we shared a bathroom, 4 women had to share a bathroom, but that worked out."

"I toured this place and immediately was greeted with a friendly receptionist. The building smells clean and presents well. We booked my family with them and happy we did. Therapy team is the soul of the place and they did group sessions. It was a nice place for my family. They also encouraged visitors and answered all our questions. Thank you "

"We were promised high functioning residents that would be available for our mother. They lied. All seemed more like walking zombies. We took my mother out after 2 weeks. Was stuck paying $6,000 fees and no exceptions. Total rip off and no return calls. Don’t trust them. It’s corporate run regardless how nice the staff is. All about the money. "
