I can't say enough about how wonderful Woodard's is. My sister attended until her health declined to the point she could no longer go. In spite of the challenges of caring for my severely disabled sister, the staff were all wonderful. My sister looked forward to the activities and socializing. I was told she was the " queen" of Scrabble. The meals are balanced and consist of delicious home cooking! Fish was on the menu the day I visited with birthday cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches. Woodard's is truly a blessing to Brunswick county!

My wife has been attending Woodard's Adult Day Health Center for four weeks now. The center provides breakfast and lunch. She likes their cooking better than mine. They pick her up and drop her off at home, and I like that. She gets to ride around with other people from the center before they get there. They do various kinds of activities, like games, that might encourage memory retention. They have some patented games like Scrabble and group crosswords. They do some crafts for holidays and send crafts home with them. The staff members are loving and very attentive to their people. They treat them like family as opposed to patients. They serve a hot breakfast and a hot lunch. The facility is part of a shopping center, and you don't realize it's there until you get closer and read the sign. They're not going on trips, as far as I know. They treat my wife wonderfully.
