I got a little private tour of Hampton Spring from a couple of the residents who live there. It wasn't an official tour, but it was after hours when I pulled in to get information about who to contact, and a couple of them were outside, so we got to talk. We sat around and talked for about an hour or so. They happily shared the inside of the place with me. They showed me their apartments; one had a 1-bedroom, and the other had a 2-bedroom. They also showed me the layout so I could see how spacious the rooms were, and I noticed that even their 1-bedroom apartment was very spacious. They were super nice. They also had pets, and I love dogs. It's a newer facility that just opened about a month ago. I actually watched it being built from the ground up. It's very convenient for the places that I normally frequent. They had a weight room, an office, a guarded entry into the building, and elevators, since it's for seniors. It's more of a smaller facility, but it's very homey. My husband has difficulty with standing for any length of time. He uses a rollator and, at times, a wheelchair. There is only one elevator for the location, and it's kind of in the middle, so there is a bit of walking to get to some of the rooms that are further away. I think it would have been more beneficial if they had put an elevator on each end, as well. Other than that, the place was very clean, from what I could see. It's comfortable and laid out more like a hotel, as far as the hallways and windows at the ends of the halls.
