Mom seems content at Clover Rest Home. She's made some friends. They have a lot of fun activities. It's clean. I think we're just going to stay there. She went there right out of the hospital after she had the accident. Supposedly, in the beginning, they told us they were a short-term care facility and they have physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy that they did every day, and they told us the funds were running out from her insurance to pay for it. That's when we weew looking for other places, but she seemed happy there, and it turns out they're letting her stay as long as we pay them. The auto insurance from the accident was paying their bill until it ran out, so now we have to start paying for it. The staff is nice. They all adore her, and it's close to home. It's right next to the Delaware River. It's like a huge old house that was added onto like two or three times. There's no odor of urine or anything. At first she didn't want to be away from our home. Every time we would visit, she's like, "Are we going home? Are we going home today?" After about two weeks, that just kind of stopped. They do a lot of activities: bingo and balloon bounce. They have somebody that comes in and plays guitar and sings once in a while. They do all kinds of little activities that make it more interesting. She is in a semi-private room, and there are two beds in it. They have an activity room and a physical therapy room. They've got a nice dining room where they let us all gather and take over the place on her birthday. We can use that as long as it isn't during their mealtime. We went at like 1:00 after lunch and they said, "Go right ahead, go in, close the door." There's a couple staff that don't even look at you, but most of the staff are very nice. Cheryl helps my mom a lot. She just adores her and she takes good care of her. I haven't eaten any of the food, but I've seen the menu and smelled the food and it seems like they have pretty decent food there.

my parent became a resident of Clover Rest home after our transfer from a large gorgeous nursing home. The large modern facility was cold, impersonal, and the staff were poor and different every shift. We moved to Clover and my parent is so happy with the small, intimate, family atmosphere. Clover has the same consistant staff and will attend to any need. we are so happy our parent is happy and content at Clover! Clover is a five star superior care facility!
