My mother was a resident of Webster before her passing. The level and continuity of care is unmatched, anywhere. It speaks volumes that they are able to retain their wonderful compassionate staff. The food was great. They have a full list of activities and were very encouraging. My mom wasn't much for socializing but they did a great job of coordinating where she sat in the dining hall to get her to socialize which she ended up loving. She preferred the company of her nurses and she had some of the best nurses I've ever encountered. In all, even though staying home was her first choice, she was thrilled to have been lucky enough to get a room at Webster.

I was at Webster at Rye, and the food was bad there all the time. The hamburgers were always like a flat pancake, and they were either raw or overcooked. I left Webster because I wanted better food. One of the things I didn't like about Webster was that we had assigned seats where we had to sit for meals. We had no say about it. I happened to be sitting at a table with people who had very strong political opinions different than mine. There were some nice people there, but not at the table I was sitting at. I was in rehab there for about five weeks. They had great physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. I loved my physical therapist, but she was only there in the winter. She pushed me, and I appreciated it. She came twice a week, and we did stairs. I still keep in touch with some of them. Zach was great. The nurse on the floor was great, even though I had an argument with her about doing my own meds. She let me finally. They didn't have hot dogs every Saturday night. They also had fresh strawberries, which I tend not to eat. If I had dirty dishes, I would just put them in the sink, and someone would wash them and put them away. They have a good haircutter who also does pedicures if you can't reach your feet anymore, but she's not a podiatrist. The gym had several bikes and stairs in the corner that you could practice on. When you were learning to walk, they had two ballet bars that you walked between.

When I was looking for placement for my mom I looked for a location that felt like home. The staff at Webster has been there for many years which told me the management is doing something right. They care about their residents. I knew it would be a great fit for my mom. I felt safe knowing she was being cared for 24/7. The nurses and LNA's treated my mom like family. Visiting her in her unit she was always happy and smiling. What else could I have asked for. I highly recommend Webster and appreciate all that was done for my mom.

One star rating is not for the care the staff provides to residents; it is entirely in how the Webster at Rye runs their business. Positive first: Dropping in at any time of the day, the staff has been great, despite having a difficult job. I hope that that is the case in most nursing homes, but I doubt it is. They have a tough job, and mostly they handle it with patience and caring. The apartment that my parent's first rented was a bit dark and dreary, but when we moved them to a nicer spot, those rooms were much better. However, you will pay a premium price to have anyone cared for at the Webster at Rye, and count on whatever fees you pay to be abruptly and haphazardly raised without reasonable justification. We all get inflation, but expect to pay full cost on a room where the resident passes away, despite the fact that the Webster is no longer caring for the individual. A little grace period? Forget it. And they can change the level of care that they assign to a resident without discussion, when in actuality, nothing has changed for the resident. What do you get if you have to pay more because the Webster has decided that a resident is a level 3 instead of a level 1? Nothing...they just get more money. Completely and unequivocally do NOT recommend the Webster at Rye, not because of the care they provide, but because they are just out to make as much money as they can from the people who live there. If you have an unlimited budget, the staff are worth it, but expect to pay through the nose....and then have it rise even more at their whim.

My mother moved into Webster at Rye. The professionalism and the caliber of the employees and nursing staff were amazing. She's getting really good care. She's having some difficulties, and she never really likes anything. But she said that she likes it, due to the facility, and the people there are nice. The facility was excellent. They have all kinds of classes. They have live entertainment every night or every afternoon at about five. They have animals, and they bring animals there. They do some outings. It seems like they have plenty of activities. I have eaten there. I had lunch one time, and that was good. Her level of care is kind of expensive. It just seems like everything is in place there. I don't know a lot of the amenities, but I know they have a library.

I went to Webster at Rye to visit my friend's parents, and the people there seemed very caring. The newer section was very, very nice. The older section was a little rundown, and kind of darkish for me, but I know that they provide a high quality kind of care there. The staff was very responsive, although right now they're not, but at the time I was there, they were. I was able to attend some of the activities of my friend's parents, and they were very attentive to the needs of their residents. If you have mobility issues and you're at the second floor, it might create some issues. They have an elevator, but if there is a need to move the residents without the elevator, that's gonna be a problem.
