My brother is a resident of Holiday Montara Meadows. They're very friendly. They took us on a nice tour. We asked some of the residents how they liked it, and they said they loved it there. And the way that the staff knew everybody's name that lives there is like family. That's what I loved about them. It's very nice and clean, which is a plus. The staff invited us to have lunch in the main dining room. It was like Thanksgiving. Everybody was sitting there saying hi to one another. You sit down and they come over, you pick out on the menu what you want. And it was lovely. They had a pool outside, which I was shocked about, and then they had a hot Jacuzzi inside if they needed to do some therapy or whatever. It was great. My brother is loving it. They check up on him. There was one resident, her name was Carol, and she said, 'Don't worry, I'm going to show your brother the ropes.' We sat down and we had some sort of beef stew with vegetables and all that in there. They had baked cod, too. It was great. And if you want to have some coffee during the day, you just go on in their coffee station and have some coffee. I like it. It's a nice-looking facility. It really is very warm, very welcoming. I saw some of the activities. They have a board every day. They have walk-about, they have exercise, they have billiards, and they have bingo. They showed us the game room. They're great. I think my brother is getting more than what he's paying for.

I toured Holiday by Atria Montara Meadows. It's very well-maintained. It was an older establishment. The staff was very knowledgeable and very personable. She knew what she was talking about. They showed their dining room, swimming pool, and library.

We toured Holiday Montara Meadows. It was too old, too grungy looking, and it's not our kind of stuff. It has no kitchenette, dishwasher, and stove. We didn't have interaction with the staff that much. We had the girl who gave us the tour and showed us one unit. We looked at one unit, and I said we didn't want to waste her time any further; she was very pleasant.

Holiday Montara Meadows was a little pricey for its condition, and they didn't have a washer and dryer inside there. They had a community washer and dryer. What I liked about it was that they had a good little cafeteria where they served food. That was the best thing they had, but the part where they showed me, they hadn't cleaned it up too good. I didn't see anything crawling, but it wasn't clean. They should always have an apartment that was clean and painted, and not one that looked like someone had moved out. It was just an older facility also. The best thing about it was it was like $2000, but they included everything in it, like your utilities and stuff. So, that was nice, but it was just not for me. The person that gave the tour was very nice and astute. The dining area was clean and the food smelled good coming out of there.

Holiday Montara Meadows was like an apartment complex. It was independent living and I love that they had food and snacks available all day. Then they have a different place for you to go like your living space was different and separate from where all the activities would be. They had a hairdresser lady there. She was doing somebody's hair while I was there. That was nice. All the apartments have two burners and a little kitchenette, but you also eat in the dining hall. They had a heated pool outside and a big hot tub kind of thing inside. There was lots of parking. There was security. Everything looks nice, fresh, and new. It's older, but it's well cared for. It's affordable and nice. Just that my direction told me to turn right as I did my entrance, but I couldn't because it was an exit and then getting into the entrance for your first visit, you should turn before it tells you to. It was weird, but after I got to look at it, I liked that it was difficult to get into, because some people get into an apartment complex and they just drive right in. At Holiday Montara Meadow, you can't just wander in there by accident. So, it was a little safer.

I liked the layout, the rooms, and the variety of activities at Holiday Montara Meadows. They seemed to be caring people. The facility was very clean and well kept. There were a lot of common areas. They had community events every day. I did not eat anything there, but the menu looked just fine. They were getting ready to remodel some of their rooms, which should be real nice.

I was at Holiday Montara Meadow. I liked the community atmosphere and the people around me. The staff was OK. They were very polite, but they didn't do much service. I was stuck in my apartment building in the back and it's isolated. They served horrible food and the chef didn't know how to cook. They just put garlic and salt all over everything, and the variety was very limited.

Holiday Montara Meadows had a bus come and pick us up at our hotel in Las Vegas. They took us over for lunch. We sat with a couple of ladies that were ambassadors, and they were very pleasant. We enjoyed our lunch hour, and the food was pretty good. The building wasn't brand new, but it was very livable. The apartment was a little bit small. It was a little difficult to get around in there, but it was livable. The lady who toured us around was very friendly and very helpful. She took us up to the activity room. There were no activities going on because it was lunch hour. We saw where they had bingo and card playing. We saw a swimming pool, and the grounds looked kept up.

Holiday Montara Meadows is a fantastic community. We toured the facility and we saw a simple apartment, and oh my goodness, it is fantastic. One of the things we like is that they have ambassadors, that is residents, that live there. We had lunch with two of them, they answered any questions that we might have, and they were so friendly. What we like is just the general atmosphere, just so friendly and so welcoming. I could hardly wait for our friends to move into the community. It's absolutely lovely. Lunch was beautifully prepared. My husband is in the hospitality industry, and he said that the food was appropriate for the age group, and that was nice. It was very tasty and just beautifully presented like it was prepared by a chef. The staff members we met were very friendly and personable. They answered all our questions and gave us a very nice tour. I could not be more impressed. With my husband being in the hospitality industry (he is in food and beverages), he's very critical, and that's why he came along with me, and I could not believe that he was impressed because it's very hard to impress him. My friend has problems with her balance and depth perception, and the reason I didn't visit other places is that all of them had regular bathtubs and that just eliminated them right off the bat. But when I went into Holiday Montara Meadows, all of their showers had walk-in bathtubs, and I can't believe that on top of everything else, she will be able to safely take a shower. They also had rails right there. Where she is living right now, she describes her bathroom as a death trap because she has fallen so many times in her bathroom, so that made such a difference.

I enjoyed my tour at Holiday Montara Meadows. It was an older structure, but it was nice. They had balconies, and they had a lot of activities. They had a three-meal plan a day, so everything was great for me. The staff during the tour was great. We saw a one-bedroom and it was adequate. I observed that some of the ladies were doing knitting classes, and they had gentlemen in them, too. They had the bingo, and they had a place set up where if you wanted to have your relatives in for the weekend, you can have dinner with them in a very exclusive area. They had a little cooking facility also. Just in case you didn't want to eat the meal for the day, you can get yourself, more or less, a snack than a real meal probably. The dining area was adequate, fair looking, and nice-sized.

Holiday Montara Meadows is a beautiful facility. The housing is in four separate pods, so you have to go through an outside breezeways to get into the main hall for dining, which I found inconvenient. My father does get along fairly well with a walker, but I can tell in much colder weather, it would not be as helpful. The dining room setup and the menu were very similar to the last one we toured. It is a limited menu. There were like 10 choices plus a daily special. It's not brand new. The lady we met with, Denise, was awesome. It's generally independent living and any assisted care is outside contracted. It is not in-house assisted care. If you need med management, you have to contract with an outside company through Medicare to come in (for bathing, for assistance, and for transport assistance). It is a facility that would not facilitate my father in his current lifestyle. I was told that they have everyone there from 65 to 105 almost, so those people are well taken care of. My dad needs not immediate assistance, but he needed to get into a place without having to call five other people to set up care.

Holiday Montara Meadows was fabulous. They called me back two or three times. They work with me. The place was nice. Denise and Paul were really helpful. They showed me both one- and two-bedroom, one was a hardwood floor and the other one was carpet. The facility was really, really nice and really clean. They showed me the menu, and they said that I could come back any time for a meal. The outside, the pool, and the seating areas were very nice. I saw a family room that had a TV and they had a nice fish tank. They had a room that looked like a library that had books and puzzles and stuff like that. They do meals, laundry services, and cleaning. They have a bus that can take you to the store and to the doctors' appointments and stuff like that. Everything was nice.

Holiday Montara Meadows has a great location for shopping and conveniences. It is a little older, but it has plenty of gardens and lawns. It has a pool, a Jacuzzi, balconies, and patios. They do trips, crafts, movies, and other activities. They have a library onsite. I felt they had a lot to offer. The staff was excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and they were interested in you.

I have been staying at Holiday Montara Meadows. They offer three meals a day and weekly room cleaning. The staff members are very nice. They really do care about the people. The food is good. They have poker, bingo, and crafts. It is definitely expensive, and many people have had to move out because they don't negotiate at all. So some of my friends have had to move, and they really didn't have a good place to go. I think something should be done about that. They have a tennis court, a pool, and a large Jacuzzi. They supply appliances like a refrigerator and a two-burner electric stove.

The people at Holiday Montara Meadows were very, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious, and they seemed very clean too. the prices are good. What I liked best was the room sizes were really nice and they had balconies, which was something that's an added thing for my dad. They can go sit on the balcony and just enjoy the weather and be outside, without having to go downstairs to go outside. Some of the carpets need to be changed and there were a couple of broken washing machines that we saw or dryers that were around. I don't know how long they've been broken, but when they have enough time to put a note on them tells me that they've been broken for a while. They offered for us to try the food but we haven't tried it yet. Two of the people that I ended up speaking to and touring with, and did the follow-up call, actually said that they promise you everything but when you get in there, it's different. So that's the only concern that I have. They had a pool, spa, a little theater area, and a dining room.

My mother will move into Holiday Montara Meadows. It's just full of so many friendly people from the people that work there, the management, and the residents were all just super, super friendly from the minute we walked through the door. The apartment is nice. It's got a small kitchenette. My mom still wants to cook from time to time, so that'll be helpful. And it's. It's quite spacious for a senior living apartment. It's about 600 square feet and it's got a very nice balcony for her to be able to put some plants out there and sit out when the weather's nice, so a very nice setup. And the floors, my mom has COPD and she's very averse to places with carpeting and they have some very nice vinyl planks, like wood floor-looking vinyl, and the apartment is very nice. All the places that I had reserved tours of, I reserved them at 11:00. I did that consciously so I could see what their lunch looked like, and see what kind of cafeteria, the mood in the cafeteria, and whatnot. Holiday Montara Meadows was the only place that we toured that offered us to sit down and have lunch with them. The food was okay for me. I just had a salad. My mom had the regular lunch meal and she was just blown away by it. She was like, "Oh, my goodness, this is awesome." Everything that I saw was in good shape. They kept it up. I didn't get a chance to meet the maintenance people at all. Everybody was just happy to be working there and happy to be able to help out the seniors. It was a good experience and everything looked clean. Everybody went above and beyond, an example of this is, my mom wanted to buy a new bed, and that bed is being delivered today, and they were receptive to being able to deliver that bed into her apartment today before her moving in on Monday. They have a heated swimming pool. They have a very nice gym setup there. The dining room was super nice, and a craft area. My mom likes to sew and she was concerned about being able to continue that. And they have a wonderful crafts area with a lady that leads the folks through the crafts. And so she'll be able to keep doing her sewing and everything down in the craft room.

Holiday Montara Meadows was a very nice place. They would offer me an undercover parking space, and they have a swimming pool. The rooms were very nice but small, you just get a small compact refrigerator, and there's no counter space to set up a coffee maker or blender. So the kitchens were so small and didn't even have a stove. The cleanliness is very good, it's excellent. Everything is nice about that place and I could see myself living there, except it's not a good location. I like to walk outside the property and take a walk, but it wouldn't feel safe walking around there.

Holiday Montara Meadows was nice. The gentleman was very cordial and he took us around to view different apartments in the complex. He showed us some of the areas where they have activities. It's almost like going to a resort hotel or something like that. I prefer to cook and they didn't have an oven. I couldn't handle a place like this. I knew the person I was looking for wanted an oven, too, and that was one thing that was off. I didn't like the fact that three meals a day were included in the price. I don't eat three meals a day and I don't think my brother and sister-in-law do either. They like cooking their own stuff and they're a little picky eater, so that would be a problem. I did not have a chance to try their food. I met with the chef and I saw some of the menu items that they had on for the day. They had a little theater area, a popcorn area, and an ice cream parlor that was cute. They had little outdoor spaces, a patio, and a balcony. I don't like the ground floor because I didn't like the opening. I would have had a screen or something there, but they had good sides where it's not so sunny. Living in Las Vegas, it would be really hot. They could do their little gardening and set out flowers and things there. It was a well taken care of the area. The rooms were nice for one person who has small furniture. They looked nice, and they looked like little hotel rooms. I didn't see that many people that lived there, but they looked very happy.

My mother chose Holiday Montara Meadows because she likes it. We met a lot of really kind and generous people, wonderful people, and she just fit. She liked the atmosphere, she liked that her room is like 500 square feet so that's plenty of room. It was an older building but there was plenty of room to move around in. She liked that in any obstacle she came into, they had an answer for it. They'd show her that she could do what she wanted, which was to get better, and they were on it. They made time and they made themselves available. There's one gentleman who'd be off the next day, but he was the one we were dealing with. He said, "It's my son's birthday, but if you can come early in the morning, I will be here." And he was. My mom has a new carpet in her room, but they need to replace the call carpet. Not only is the food delicious, but the chef was also from the Bellagio. They can't use certain seasonings for the seniors but they do very well with the presentations. They had pretty good activities and they've got church right on the facility. They've also got poker where you can't go above $5, it was cool. I've seen their drama club and they have card games, they've got line dancing. But they also need to get their pool fixed.

We visited Montara Meadows for my mom, I like the facility. It fits the criteria we are looking for. I loved touring the facility but it needs some updates. They're in the middle of doing those updates and they told me that those updates are coming. Also, the general area isn't the best surrounding the place, but the facility itself is great. It's definitely within budget and has good customer service. It's a great facility, they have a lot of amenities, it looked clean, and the residents seemed happy. They have a workout gym, spa, a walking track, weekly movies, activities, and transportation.

Montara Meadows was very nice. There were a lot of navy guys there, and my brother would have liked that. There were a lot of activities. I saw their beautiful dining room. The assistant manager was very pleasant and took me on a tour. I think it would be a nice place. The staff was unprepared for my visit and asked me to wait 10 minutes. I spoke to some of the residents, and they said it was good food. They had a gym and activity rooms. It was a standard, very well-planned, independent living facility.

I moved into Montara Meadows. The management has been very cooperative with me. I have moved into a one-bedroom. The people here seem to be ever so friendlier. They have a menu. They have two choices at every meal. But they only have a one-hour lunch. You got to get in there, wait to be served, and gobble down your food before the hour is up. They have somebody in charge of amenities. I played tennis. They have an entertainment lady specifically for entertainment. She makes arrangements for the bus to take us to doctor's appointments. We go out to dinner. We go out to other places on the bus. We had poker, painting, and all kinds of stuff that they have here. They've got a regular bingo room, and that's very popular. The facility is old. They've only got one maintenance man. I would recommend Montara Meadows. So far, the people here seem to be very nice. They need two-hour meal time. Other than that, I'm perfectly happy.

I visited Montara Meadows. They cook for you, and they don't have an oven or a microwave. It's for a senior that really needs care, but is able to get around. I'm very independent, so that is not for me. The office manager was extremely nice, very informative, and very well educated concerning the property, but it's not a suitable place for me. It's good for people that need help. They provide services like cleaning, they cook three meals a day, and they wash clothes. It's a nice place, clean, and neat. It's just not for a person that is too independent. For a person that is capable of really truly taking care of themselves, that place is not for them. If you can cook, clean, and bathe yourself and everything, it's not for you. They have people that walk on walkers and are in wheelchairs. Upkeep and amenities are great for a person that has no family and is in need of care. The restaurant was extremely clean. The grounds were nicely kept. The staff said they have religious services. They had a small laundry room, but you had to schedule the time that you wanted to use it. One resident was playing bingo, and they said they have activities, that they walk, and they have game nights and things like that. The staff showed me a bunch of pictures of their activities, and they take the residents to certain places.

We toured Montara Meadows in Las Vegas but it was too pricey. It's a nice independent living community. They have a lot of good activities for the older adults there and they do daily activities. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a person that's like a housekeeper that comes in once a day and cleans for them if they need help cleaning. They have free transportation, if they need to do any doctor's appointments or grocery shopping or want to go out and do anything. It's a nice community but just too pricey. My mom and my grandma didn't make enough or have enough to move there but are very nice if a senior has the money to pay for the rent. It was a good tour experience. They were very friendly and the staff was very helpful. They have senior activities like bingo and reading nights. They have game nights for the seniors and I think once a week, they do trips and outings. They have exercise and health activities, cooking activities and a lot of other stuff. The place is very nice and peaceful. They have a pool and weight room. It's also very roomy and spacious. It's close to a lot of shopping centers, the busses, and stuff so it's a really good location.

Montara Meadows was clean and the staff was friendly. I saw the residents and they looked very comfortable and relaxed. Especially in the middle of the COVID, they didn't seem to be like they were living in a stressed situation. The grounds were clean and I didn't see anything that was questionable.

Enjoying a comfortable apartment. Roomy and well kept; The housekeepers do a great job with their weekly cleaning and linen change. The staff is all friendly and helpful. They make you feel that you are at home and always a nice smile. A good feeling to be able to leave your apartment and know there are others that you can visit with. Also a well stocked library with lots of good reading material. There may be other newer places but if you want a home like atmosphere this is the place to be.

We really like Montara Meadows. We were very happy with it. We even spoke to one of the residents. She said she has been there seven years and absolutely loved it until the COVID thing hit, but now she's bored. All of our questions were answered. It was awesome. The apartments were small. Everything was good. The living atmosphere was very nice. It was very clean, it looked like they had a lot of activities that they would do, and they seemed to make it like home for the residents. They have a pool table, they have a ping pong table, they have a bingo thing, and they have a dancing thing. Everyone was in their room and in bed at that time, but you could see that they would have a lot of activities. The staff member did a pretty good job. It was his first day, and he did the best he could, but we really like him. We talked to the manager afterwards and she answered all our questions.

I toured Montara Meadows. Overall, it was a very good tour, everyone was nice, the common areas were inviting, clean, and it's very convenient for shopping. It was just an older property, and you could see in the rooms mainly, where it was an older building, and probably needed some remodeling. The wood on the ceiling of the patio was rotting away, and would need to be replaced and repainted. At some point, I know that they do this kind of maintenance, but it's a huge inconvenience to have people working where you're living, and my parents don't want that fuss anymore. The person who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, and very much a seller of that community. It felt homey.

Montara Meadows was a beautiful facility. The apartment was beautiful, laid out nicely, and very beautiful. It was a very welcoming, peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing environment. They have activities for the residents. It was set back a little bit from the road so you don't get hit by cars if you accidentally walk out there. The staff member during the tour was very nice, showed me everything, and laid it all out.

Montara Meadows has a nice staff, the rooms are tremendous, and the price is good. I like it a lot. I've been to functions there, and the staff is always very friendly, and the people seem very nice. The management is amazing. They take care of the residents and are hands on. The food is great. I had lunch there during a calypso party and there was cotton candy and popcorn. The lunches had the right portions, there were three nice selections, and the food was not overly seasoned. They have some dancing, exercises, and a nice pool. I will be on the second or third floor and my room will have a balcony. It's in East Las Vegas, which is an OK area. They have transportation and across the street there's a Walmart and a shopping center. They have a small gym and a whirlpool there. You can always order your food and take it back to your room, but you have four burners and a refrigerator in your room.

Montara Meadows looked like a nice facility with good people. We had a good experience there and I have nothing negative to say at all. The rooms were fine but need a little updating. They had a lot of potential activities and were setting up for exercise.

Montara Meadows had a nice layout, a lot of good amenities, and a lot of activities. It was convenient to shopping. They have transportation, classes, and activities, which vary day by day. The dining room looked very clean and very welcoming. The person during the tour did an outstanding job. He went above and beyond to help us figure out how to get my mother in there and get the funding we needed.

We had a nice visit at Montara Meadows. The staff was very friendly, delightful, and very informative. Everybody was friendly. We had a nice lunch and the food was tasty. We saw the apartments. One was decent-sized and a couple of them were very small. I was very pleased that all the bathtubs have been cut down, so that there were step-in showers. It's an older facility, but it was clean.

My overall impression with Montara Meadows was very good. I was interested in possibly becoming a resident until the staff member told us how much it would cost. It's a little ridiculous, especially for the location. It's not located in a great area. There's nothing around it but fast food restaurants. There's no shopping center. You have to have a car to get to wherever you want to go. It's $3,000 a month, which is ridiculous. The facility doesn't even give you your own private washer and dryer. You have to share it with the entire floor. I'm not sure that he was correct in giving us the price. They served us lunch and I only met people that served us lunch and the manager of the facility. Every one of them was just great. The sous-chef came out and introduced herself and told us of the daily specials and she was just right on point. She was very articulate and caring. The people that served us were friendly. As soon as we were done with that portion of the meal, they came and took our plate. It was a good experience. The dining room was one big room and you can sit wherever you want to sit. The apartments were nice. You get a little privacy if you want to share an apartment. Both apartments had their own room and bathroom off to the sides. They have a game room, internet terminal setup, a swimming pool, a spa, and a salon for the females. The amenities were pretty good. They take the residents out twice a week to the theater and/or shopping. The food was really good.

We went to Montara Meadows. It was super nice; it's very good. They had all kinds of features, which were very nice. They have a pool and barbecue area. The dining area was very clean. The food was very good. The apartment was very nice and very comfortable. The staff was very nice. They're super good. They have a lot of activities.

I went to Montara Meadows. The staff member I dealt with was excellent, he has dealt with the elderly, and he knows all the laws. The staff I met was excellent. It's an older place, and it felt more like apartments. It has a swimming pool, a beauty shop, and a game room. There were residents doing either a book club or writing when I was there.

Montara Meadows was nice, but what I didn't like and didn't understand was the yearly increase of rent for seniors who had a fixed income. It was a substantial increase, and I think it's unfair to treat seniors that way. The surrounding neighborhood is not safe. We saw a room, and it was nice. The residents got their own services, and there was a hands-off situation.

I didn't like Montara Meadows; it was like a dead-end for people. It was a group of buildings converted into retirement homes. The staff talked about how wonderful it was to be there, but I wasn't impressed with the dining area.

I’m moving tomorrow into Montara Meadows. I like it because I have a patio out on the first floor. It’s a little older than some of the others, but the rooms seem to be a little bigger, and I don’t have to share my sitting room. It’s been well maintained, and the cost is a little bit less.

I didn't get to see the accommodations at Montara Meadows. Because their ground was very uneven and it was difficult for me to walk there, a young lady came out with a wheelchair and took me inside. She was very nice. She was just excellent. However, the gentleman that was supposed to meet us and showed us around would not take me where the quarters where because I was sitting in that wheelchair. He said that their community was for independent living ,and they felt that I was an assisted living. Once I got inside, I talked to a couple of ladies who had been there for several years ,and they were both in wheelchairs. I should have gotten out there, but that guy, though he would come and talk to us, would leave and go some place else, and we wouldn't see him for awhile. Also the food wasn't that good.

Montara Meadows supply the meals, and they do have some activities, but as far as any medication management or anything like showering or any of that, you would have to hire outside people. I looked at a studio and a 1-bedroom. Both were a nice size, but they were very old. It had a small refrigerator, and the 1-bedroom had a stove, but the studio didn’t. There was a lot of walking there too. We had lunch there, and the food was good. There was an option of another menu if you didn’t like what was on the menu, and there were different times that you could eat. And then, they always had available all day long little muffins, fruit, soft drinks, and coffee.

Montara Meadows didn’t meet my friend’s needs at all. The washers and dryers were down the hall -- he cannot do that -- and the rooms were small and old. The one that I saw was very old, and it was obvious. We ate there, and the food was not very good. The people though, there was a man there from out of state, and he was wonderful; extremely gracious. The facility looked really nice, and I loved their entertainment room. They were also more accommodating, but my friend needed more care than they offer, and from where his apartment would have been to the dining room, it would be too much for him. If it was inclement weather he would be in trouble because he uses a scooter. It just didn’t meet his needs. Some people might have liked the food, but we both didn’t care for it, and their service wasn’t so good that day either.

I went to Montara Meadows. The outside didn't do it justice because the facilities were very nice, organized, and clean. The cost was good compared to the one that I like. It was nice, but not quite as elaborate. The buildings were really nice and two-story. Montara Meadows was almost like nice apartment living.

We found a place for a friend. It is called Montara Meadows. She's OK there. The people are very nice. She likes the place. It smells OK. The apartments are nice and spacious. Montara Meadows was clean and well kept. They had a nice dining room and a nice area for residents to go. The tour was very informative. The staff was very helpful. They had board games, card games, and bingo. They also had a Wii where they could do bowling or do other activities on it just to keep people moving. Of course, they had a community TV area.

Montara Meadows was a large community. It seemed to be the best fit for a couple who is self-sufficient. There were several singles, though that were totally self-sufficient and didn’t need much assisted care. It was very nice. You have to go outdoors to get to some of the living units. We did not eat there, but we did observe a meal that looked really good. The tables were set nicely and the food looked really good. We asked some of the people about it and they seemed very pleased. The rooms were sufficient. The dining room was well-set, comfortable, and roomy.

We would not recommend Montara Meadows to anyone. We were seriously considering staying at that place, but there was an incident that indicated to me that they don't have the personnel that are trained to handle their residents, and it bothered me. My wife was embarassed about the incident, and the actions of the staff were unprofessional. The lady who showed us around gave us a good tour and a good presentation. She was very professional. We saw an apartment that was appealing to us, and the price was right. The arrangements between the bedroom, the bathroom, and the living room were easily connected.

Montara was OK, but for what we were looking for, you had to walk outside to the parking lot to get to some of the rooms. It was clean and very nice. Montara Meadows is an older facility, and the rooms were too small. I have had lunch there, and it was OK and acceptable. They have swimming, and they're big on indoor type games like card games and quiz games to keep people's minds active. It's comfortable, but the people are older, and 70% of the people there were women. The people seemed nice, and the facility seemed fine. I have nothing to say negative about the location.

Montara Meadows's rooms looked very nice, they have a nice eating area and lots of activities for the senior citizens, and the staff seemed very nice. I have a positive impression. They have different buildings where residents stay. It's not like one great big central building. It's like 3 different big apartments -- like 20 apartments per building or something like that. The staff was very concerned, checked in with us, never left us hanging, and were very responsive.

We liked Montara Meadows because the salesperson was very nice. The buildings were nice, and so were the rooms. The entryways were very old-looking and kind of threadbare, but I was told that they were going to be remodeled. The food was good. We just generally liked the place. The location wasn't so hot, but once I was inside, it was okay.

I didn’t like Montara Meadows. It was really big and reminded of a village. But it reminded me of an unsafe village because it’s so big, and these people are so old and have to go from building to building. It was just the setup. It was too big, just too many people there -- too many workers, too many residents, and not enough staff in a way. There are probably some people out there, who are savvier at being old and still do a lot of stuff for themselves, and so anybody that’s in this kind of good condition would do just fine living there. But for anybody who I felt needed kind of a more particular care, it would be difficult to live in a big place like that. The lady I took there could barely get up the elevator. There were 3 stories and by the time we got to the second story, she was having vertigo because she was too high up, so it’s things like these that made the difference.

What an awesome facility! I enjoyed my time there so much! I chatted with residents, saw the property and all it had to offer and really enjoyed my time with Lisa, who was my guide. I was and am 100 percent sure my aunt, who I was looking for, would be so happy there. Sadly for her, she really isn't ready to make the move yet. I pray when my aunt is ready there will be a place for her at Montara Meadows, I can't recommend it highly enough!

Montara Meadows was very nice. Outside in the garden area, they had just planted some things and made some rearrangements. It was quite lovely out there, and we ate lunch outside while music was playing there, too. The staff was very nice. The only drawback that I could see was the fact that you wouldn't be residing in the main building. You had to go outside and down the sidewalk to the building with the rooms. I saw people in wheelchairs and assistants taking them and bringing them back. I liked the arrangements of the rooms. They were quite nice, and you had your choice of the small studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom. That would meet the needs of most anyone if they could afford it; the more needs you have, the more you have to pay. The extra facilities that they had were nice, like the swimming pool and exercises for those who wanted to participate.

my friend lived there since last My 2015 till December 28. during this term she had ill and stayed Sunrise hospital. One day on November, she came back she found her jewelry and quarters were missing. we reported to office about this and they accepted this report. Little after I asked this result , one of manager said you should report police department not this office even they accepted report. My friend who was resident lost them. The other things happened. She noticed to move day December 28, 2015. Two weeks before she moved they start cleaning for next tenant even her furniture were still there. I, as her friend, complained to Director of marketing. he said this is regular cleaning and he did not understand why I was upset. I request her last statement for couple of days, I never receive yet. There is one Manager Jane(?) has common sense.

The activities at Montara Meadows were pretty good. We ate lunch there, and the food was decent. The staff was friendly, and everything about the place was great. My mother-in-law needs to apply for what's called "Aid and Attendance," and the director, who was there, said that he knew somebody in there who would be able to help her and that it will cost $800. Well, the lady over at the other place said that it's illegal to charge anybody for them to do an Aid and Attendance application, so that turned me off, and I didn't even bother to take my mother-in-law there because of that. The room was a little bigger. It had a separation from the living room and the bedroom, and the kitchen and the bathroom. It seemed like everything had its own little room. There wasn't anything nothing fancy about it. It did have a kitchenette, a fridge, a stove top, and everything else.

I was very impressed by Montara Meadows. I liked the activities, the layout of the place, and the restaurant. The rooms were big, and there was a single-bedroom apartment with adequate storage space. The price was right, and they take Medicaid. It had a pool, Jacuzzi, afternoon snack areas, and several nice meeting areas for people to come down and just visit. I thought the social family atmosphere was there.

Montara Meadows is a wonderful community. The apartments are roomy and the property is well-taken care of. It’s an older property but they have done a really nice job of keeping it up. They recently went through a little bit of a redecoration -- they repainted and laid new flooring, which is nice. The dining hall where everybody goes is very lovely. The food is not awful, but it’s adequate; my mom said it’s OK. Sometimes I ask my mom, "What did you eat?" and she says, "I don’t know." Mom has been there four years now, and we are very satisfied.

I was very impressed with the management staff. Montara Meadows was very nice looking from the outside, and everybody appeared to be very happy and very friendly. I was very disappointed in the food; I cannot believe they were feeding that kind of food to senior citizens. I was sick for two days after I ate there. For the main meal, I had a choice between fried rice and a chili cheese dog, and I just don’t consider chili cheese dog a very nourishing meal. They gave me a menu for the next month, and everything on it -- you could tell -- was pre-prepared. It's like they just stick it in the oven or whatever. The fried rice looked like somebody had already eaten and regurgitated it. And all the lettuce and everything on the salad bar came out of a great big sack that was full of preservatives. Senior citizens need to be eating healthier than that. A hot dog with canned chili on it for what they charge a month for rent was atrocious. They had a unit that I was very interested in, but I have a real problem walking, and it was a long walk to the dining room and to my car. I did talk to one elderly couple that arrived when the assistant manager I was talking to had to leave for a couple minutes. I asked them how they liked it, and they said it was the place to live. And then I asked about the food, and they both just kind of shrugged their shoulders and said, "Well, at least we don't have to prepare it." It's right down a very busy street in a commercial area. There were a lot of fastfood places around it. I don’t think I would want to live in that neighborhood. I would not feel safe going out and walking around at night or in the evening even. There are a lot of places within the complex that you can walk very safely, so I don’t think that people would really be drawn to walk outside the complex much, except to maybe go across the street and get a hotdog or a hamburger or something. They had activities, but they were pretty sedentary. They take you to the doctors and shopping, and that’s about the extent of what I saw. Everything else was at the complex, and it was sitting down where people show you how to make paper flowers and stuff like that. I just felt after going there that I would deteriorate very quickly; there was no mental stimulation at all. I would rate them very highly, except for the food. But the place itself and the room, except for the distance, I would have easily given a four.

It was really my aunt who chose it. There were several places that we had a tour set up -- about seven places actually -- and it was this particular one that she chose for herself. The staff is very good, and they are knowledgeable. The rooms are size-wise sufficient. The best thing about Montara Meadows is that it was more in reach financially compared to the others. They have quite a bit of activities. They have Bingo, card games, entertainment every week after dinner, and bowling on TV -- they do the bowling on TV and everything. They have a lot of card games that you can participate in and a movie night. They have three meals a day, snacks, and a little coffee shop, so there is always coffee, cookies, cakes, and everything.

Toured the place very recently trying to find a place for mom. Some have said in their reviews that it's expensive. However, considering resident's utilities are included, except telephone, food is provided three meals a day plus drinks, snacks in between meals, transportation and a bunch of daily activities, it's not bad at all. In fact, every other place I visited was $300 to $1000 or more per month. My mother is preparing to move in later this month. I think she will like it.

Mom moved to Montara Meadows last September. We chose it for its activities and the services they can give. She is in a one bedroom apartment, and it is adequate for a single person. The staff are very friendly, and they make sure they walk her dog as a bonus. I have eaten there, and the food is not a five star, but I would give it a four star. The service that they have provided is fast and efficient, and the menu is good. They have a shuttle bus service that takes the residents to local shopping centers and grocery stores or to medical appointments.

Montara Meadows could be a little expensive, but with what they’re offering, it might be within the frame that I can handle. The one I’m looking at is a 1-bedroom with a small kitchen, a full-size refrigerator, a 2-burner stove and a little lanai. The dining room was quite large, and you order off of a menu. What I’m looking forward to is the 3rd floor. It has elevators. They have linen service once a week with cleaning, an inside spa, and an outside pool. They have activities on Friday evenings with light activity, and there is also an outside exercise area.

The one that we like so far is Montara Meadows. It's an extremely expensive place. It's a lot of fun in there. They play games and they have a Jacuzzi. They're very kind. It's a very caring community. They do whatever they can to take care of each other. They brought helpers who come in to help. You pay for them, but they're so sweet, they're so nice. The 1-bedroom is quite large. They're worth the price you're paying for them, and the food is very good. The dining area is big and pretty.

Montara Meadows is in a very nice location. It's very convenient to the bus stop; it’s just right in front of the place. The facility seemed very nice. The people who I did talk to are very friendly and very helpful. I also like the idea that you can stay at their other facilities for a short time if you are on a vacation to their other facilities. The facility is very impressive, and the people were nice. The activities they have to offer were very impressive too. They play pool. They do tours and go to casinos. I looked at Montara Meadows, and the people who showed me around were nice. They were professional. The way it was set up just didn't appeal to me. You had to walk out of the apartment and on to the right was the property to go to the dining room and stuff. Where she's now, everything is under one roof. The dining room was OK. They had lots of activities. It wasn't probably any older than the one she moved into, but this one looked more older and more worn out.

I seem to get more for my money at Montara Meadows. It's a very nice and comfortable place. They have an efficient staff. The food is very good. We got numerous activities and they have something going on for the people every day from morning to evening.

I had a very nice tour at Montara Meadows, they gave me a good tour. They had been sending me follow-up invitations. They were very active and seemed confident in trying to locate me there. They were very accommodating and pleasant. They also had a lot of activities.

DO NOT LEAVE A DEPOSIT! I was told to leave a deposit to hold an an apartment for my grandma. I left $450.00. I was later told by Gary that just because I left a deposit it didn't mean anything. I went to this location late after work to get my deposit back and no one answered the door or my calls even though I confirmed my appointment with them that morning. Beware of leaving deposits. I never signed the lease so the corporate office had to give me a refund. Be cautious and take your time. Once I had a change of heart about this signing with this place there was a change in how they treated me. Please be careful.

I was not too happy with Montara Meadows. It seemed very old and run down and some of the people that lived there wore dirty clothes and it wasn't very pleasant. I didn't notice the dirt but there were a lot of things that needed repair.

The apartment in Montara Meadows was way too big for me. It was mind boggling.

Montara is a very nice place. They have very nice facilities. They have an elevator and indoor pools. The facility offers housekeeping and laundering. They also have activities for their residents like bingo every Monday. They serve three meals a day for their residents. The person who took me on a tour is also very cordial.

I was very impressed with Montara Meadows. It meets all of my needs. It's very clean and neat facility. The bedrooms are nice, it's a little smaller than where I am now. But that's because where I am now has a full kitchen. You don't need a full kitchen there. All you need is a 2-burner stove and a refrigerator because all the meals are cooked for you. There's a big hall for eating, a big hall for playing bingo, crafts and arts, it's got a big pool, a huge sauna, and the people are so nice. I was really impressed with the people I spoke to. They're dressed in uniforms and they're clean. It's like being at your home.

She has her own apartment in Montara. They provide the meal, housekeeping, laundry, and other services. It's slightly more expensive, a classier place country club type of atmosphere. They take the residents to and from doctors in Lincoln town cars. It has a great staff.
