"The actual Residency at Northfield Retirement Communities was probably better in the overall of what they offer, just not as nice as the individual. The apartments were wonderful. They weren't quite as nice as the other place I toured, but the advantage of the Residency was that it offered a program where it moved from independent to full care. It was fabulous. They probabaly have more advantage because they have a continuous program and it's all located right there. The gentleman showing the apartments around was wonderful. It's fairly new, so everything was bright and shiny. They had a beautiful dining room, a huge library, and they have game rooms. They take you to doctors' appointments and they have a lot of amenities. You could also have your own care with a garage if they were available."

"My husband was at The Care Center (Northfield Retirement Communities - The Care Center). It was very special. The layout was so nice and quite homey. He was very comfortable there until he passed. He had a roommate which was fine. The room was very adequate. I wouldn't have any derogatory thing to say. He had very good care. They have some eating places where you're not in the dining room. You can eat near your apartment. There are three different places and things like that, so it's very accommodating there. They always do activities. They have lots of bingo and a lot of things going on for them to participate in. I'm pretty satisfied with most everything here."

"My mom stayed at Skyview Care and Rehab at Bridgeport. They seemed pleasant. They were an older facility. There are shared rooms and private rooms. She was in a room by herself up there while she was there. They had common areas and they had some activities."

"Heritage Estates was better than the other one I toured, but it's also more expensive. They had everything anybody could want. The one gentleman who gave me the tour was OK, he was polite. Their facilities were good, they have a dining room, the libraries, and exercise rooms. They play bingo, they have trivia, they have a TV room if you don't want to watch it in your space, and they do trips and shopping. They have, in the independent living, the duplexes."

"When we walked into Northfield Villa, they were welcoming, but we had to ask to be screened, so she went and got a thermometer and screened us. And that right there pretty much killed it. Their occupancy rate is at around twenty percent. The staff was nice, but she was new and it didn't seem like she had a whole lot of experience there. The place looks nice and the upkeep seemed to be OK. I didn't see any big deficiencies while walking in their empty room. The upkeep seemed pretty good, the grass was cut, and it looked presentable. The room sizes were pretty comparable and adequate."
