Everything at Delmar Gardens West looks nice. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My uncle doesn't have any complaints about their food. They have plenty of things to do. They have a salon, they play bingo, they go on shopping trips (for those who can), have movie nights, and a live band comes in and plays for them. So, they keep them busy.

Don't walk, run far away from this facility! They have a roach and rodent infestation. My cousin worked in dietary and took videos of everything. Unfortunately my pawpaw stayed there for 6 months last year suffering before we knew how bad this place was! The staff do NOT CARE about these patients do not be fooled! Its ghetto and we moved my pawpaw right on up outta there! SHAME ON YOU He would sit in feces for hours because no one wants to do their job. Call lights not answered. Late pain meds. Yall will answer to God for how you treated these poor people!

My sister just moved into Delmar Gardens West a week ago. It's a very big facility. They are crowded, they are busy, and it is difficult to get responses from the nursing aides. I like the fact that they are always listening to us and they can hear our concerns. However, the responses to those concerns are often very much delayed. Their staff is quite varied in their skills, backgrounds, and capabilities. But they certainly put forth a very caring attitude. I would say the food has been very good.

My mother moved into Delmar Gardens West for about a week now. Most of the people seemed to be caring. The food seems to be good; she likes it. This weekend they were really short-staffed because people didn't show up, but I'm sure other nursing homes might be in the same situation. Other staff that were supposed to be off and came in, which was a good sign.
