My mom lives in this community. She started out in one of their Independent Living homes 5 years ago with my stepdad. He passed away and everyone was so kind and supportive to her from other residents and staff. She was even able to host a memorial in their chapel there. She's had a decline in health a recently had to move over to their Residential Care apartments and she loves it. She gets all the help she needs from the staff with her medications, her meals, housekeeping and laundry, and the daily activities and socialization has be so good for her. The staff are all so kind and helpful. She couldn't have found a more friendly, caring Continuing Care community to live. I'm so glad she moved there!

I went to Ozarks Methodist Manor yesterday. The social worker was able to set up a tour for us. They were amazing. Everybody was super nice. They had the facilities, and the room was perfect. Everything was just really great there. They have all the steps of care there. They have assisted living, independent living, and the other one when you're not able to care for yourself, and stuff like that. They showed us the dining room, too. They have Walmart trips every week. They have a laundry area. They also provide a service where you pay an extra fee per month, and they can do the laundry for you, which is convenient for my friend because he doesn't do his laundry. They provide housekeeping and meals, too. The other place we looked at was $3000, and this place was $3500, so they're only $500 more, but you're getting way more amenities. Everybody seems nice. They have activities all the time. The guys get together every morning, and the women get together, too. It was just really, really nice. I think they have a great thing going. This year is their hundredth year that they've been in business. Everything seems pretty clean. We did not try the food, but the staff said we were more than welcome to come for lunch or something today if we wanted to.

Ozarks Methodist Manor was old and smelly. The floors were tiled peeling up. They were uneven, and they were steep ramps to get to places. I don't even think my mom could get up and down ramps with her walker. The facility was horrible, but the people were wonderful. The staff members were so warm, welcoming and friendly, and you could tell that the people that lived there really liked them. The interaction was nice.
