My mom is currently in Elim Care & Rehab Center. I chose them for their professionalism. They have social workers whereas the other places didn’t have anybody other than a sales person to talk to. They gave me a tour of what was available at the time. The food is excellent. What I enjoyed about Elim is they don’t have a main dining area. They divide the whole building into "streets," so it’s more personal with only 14 people. My mom is on Chestnut Avenue. They serve the food in the kitchen-like setting for just that half of the floor. The person who is doing the serving and sometimes the cooking is also their activity person. They have their aides, nurses, social workers, and chaplains. They have a person that is hired to oversee and treat them like they’re in somebody’s home. They’re really good. They keep track of their people and not just looking at physical needs or pill distribution. They are there to create atmosphere. They have different activities for each street according to what they find in that area. They have visiting tour groups and a chapel downstairs their chapel. I’m very proud of this facility. This is my town, and it’s really nice to have something that is working for us. This has been around for a long time. Not only that, the staff has been there for almost 30 years. They have their usual turnover, but everybody that works there has been there quite a while and seem to care about each other.

My husband had a total knee replacement and has been in Elim in Princeton, Mn for a week! He has yet to get his pain medication on time. 2-3 HOURS late every time! Poor guy is always in pain! If you have to go to a rehab center, DO NOT go to Elim in Princeton, Mn. When it’s been6 hrs, he asks for his medicine, they say I don’t do that! You will have to wait for a nurse! 2-3 Hours later they bring it! NOT OK!!

The staff that cared for my grandmother did not clean wounds or upkeep basic care. Luckily we documented the mistreatment. After my loved ones death under questionable circumstances, this facility now refuses to turn over the medical records. Beware.

We placed my mom at Elim Care & Rehab. I’m very happy with the way they’re taking care of her there. They’re treating her like a queen. They’re just treating her fabulous there. My mom is in full time care. They do have assisted living there also.

I am not happy with the way my relative is treated at this facility. Why are there so many falls and why is blood not immediately cleaned up and why do you give baths only when wanted when they cannot determine for themselves and why are they not treated or even know when they are ill, and why do you call people and say they had fallen and you call the next day to say it was not them. I will be talking to state over these issues
