I'm living at The Elmwood. It's a nice place. It's a two-bedroom den, and it's got a lot of the amenities a person could want. We've got a beautiful patio overlooking stuff, and I hate to move, so it's hard for me to find something that's almost as good. I am paying over $3,000 here with the utilities, the phone, the TV, and everything else. It's out of my budget. I've been here almost four years. The rooms are all large. The living room is large. The kitchen is adequately large. I've got two bedrooms. I use one bedroom as a workroom. It's where I store stuff. The master bedroom is adequate. It has a big walk-in closet. The workroom has a nice closet, too. It's a 55-plus, and they have all kinds of activities. Every week, something is going on, activities, bingo, and tours. They're very nice people. They have free dinners about three times a month. There's a person who takes care of the kitchen, and they're really nice and then people all gather for dinner. We have barbecues outdoors on the patio. I was trying to get the landlord to give me a smaller two-bedroom without the den so I could afford it. They were full until next year. The food is like going to a very nice restaurant. They have theme nights like the other night, we had a Taco Night. They had everything Mexican: enchiladas, tacos, beans, and salads. If you care to bring a dessert, you can. I've got a wonderful handyman who hung my artwork for me because I'm not able to do all that stuff. I can call him for anything. If something breaks, he's up here to fix it. The landlord is nice, and he takes care of everything. The outside is always perfect, and it's just a nice place to live. I've got their phone numbers. I can call them almost 24/7 if something really bad happens. They make nice dinners. Coming up is the corn festival, and they have fried chicken and corn, and salads. I can walk to the stores. It's close to a couple of parks, too. We get a calendar at the end of the month for the following month, and it's full. Every week, there are a couple of things going on. They've got trivia, music, bingo, and Family Feud. The value is great, but I can't afford it. If I wanted to spend the rest of my life and could afford it, it would be here.
