My husband and I moved to the senior apartment of Maxwell Place in South Haven. It was the only one that came up with an available place for us. It's just a quiet community, and it has easy access to the stores. Everybody has their 2-bedroom apartment, and they have a washer and dryer hookup. It's all handicap-accessible, too. It doesn't have a bathtub, but it has a shower. It has a little gym, a laundromat, a common room, and a little library. They also have bus service throughout the day. For activities, they have bingo. As far as I know, they don't have staff members here. They just have ladies who come in and decorate for each holiday. The place is pricey; we're paying almost $1,000 a month, but we still have to go outside on the balcony to smoke.
