Stone Rehabilitation & Senior Living is a smallish home. We like that they have private rooms and that it's a convenient location for all of us to visit my mother. They had the services that we required for her, as far as being close to the hospital that she goes to, that they provide doctors that come in and provide services, and being a nice and clean facility. We are very impressed with the COVID procedures they have in place. The staff is also welcoming. Like all of these facilities right now, I think they are just a little understaffed.

way less than ideal - inconsistent level of care and attention to residents. while there are undoubtedly some wonderful and warm aides and staff, there are others who come off as apathetic and have negative attitudes and many situations in which integrity of communication and oversight on aspects of daily life are lacking unless one is constantly checking up. from the exterior, the buidlngs are stately and historical in appearance, on the interior, the environment is typically bland and instiutional, lit with fluorescent lighting, often poorly ventilated and at times overheated, windows in rooms being off limits to reisdents. at times the smell has remained overpowering. the lower level where some of the maintenance staff take care of laundry and perform duties was in extremely sad condition.. there must be some way to provide higher quality environments and care for seniors who are too vulnerable to care for themselves..

My Mother has end-stage Alzheimer's Disease and the Stone Institute and staff are taking extraordinarily excellent care of her. The Stone Institute is, in my opinion, the BEST nursing home/long-term care facility in Massachusetts.
