The Bird River marshes flow into nearby Gunpowder River a few minutes north of Park View, and the trails around the area make for an easy hike for active seniors. Seniors aged 62 and over who live in Park View At Miramar Landing are welcome to keep pets in their private independent living apartments. While assisted living and other senior services are not provided by staff at Park View, every apartment is equipped with an emergency call system that summons help 24 hours a day. Maintenance is also on call both day and night. Park View At Miramar Landing residents have access to a computer center and billiard room, which is also open to residents' guests. High-speed Internet and recycling services are provided free of charge by the community, as are the library and off-street parking.
