Our small size lends itself to a family-like atmosphere that enables us to get to know our residents on a "one-on-one" basis. What Sets Us Apart On New Orleans ' historic St. Charles Avenue Streetcar line, Pratt-Stanton Manor takes the work and worry out of daily living while allowing residents to maintain their privacy and independence. For over 40 years, with no lease or buy-in requirement, residents have enjoyed life at this non-profit retirement residence. Three home-cooked meals a day featuring delicious New Orleans cuisine give residents a good reason to leave their spacious apartments, and provided services and planned activities that give them time for companionship and relaxation in the Manor's extensive recreational areas. Almost all New Orleans ' Mardi Gras parades pass right in front of the building, but Pratt-Stanton Manor is best-known for its exciting and elaborate activities program. Trips to concerts, museums, movies and theater give residents the opportunity to enjoy outside community functions as well. In addition to being used for such outings, the Manor van is available two days a week free of charge for doctor's appointments. Intimate in scale and setting, Pratt-Stanton Manor allows residents to feel that they are part of a caring "family" of staff and other residents, while allowing them to enjoy gracious independent living in safe, secure surroundings. Our goal is to have happy and healthy residents who are enjoying this all important phase in their lives. Pratt-Stanton Manor feels like home to the residents who live here. Our residents enjoy the privacy of their own lovely apartments but know that there is always an interesting and fun activity downstairs if they would like to participate. We are a non-profit organization and offer services of the highest quality at competitive prices, with no obligation of a lease or buy-in. Our Patient Confidentiality Policy We are not a nursing facility and our support services are non-medical. We cater to seniors who for whatever reason choose to no longer maintain a household on their own. Our application process consists of a General Application ("Why would you like to live here?"etc.), and a Medical Application to be completed by your physician. Our social worker will work with you during your application process to make things as easy for you as possible. All your information is confidential and will not be released without your permission. Our Management Our caring staff furnish housekeeping services and home-cooked meals. Our lobby desk is manned 24 hours each day and can be reached by residents whenever a need arises. Our Activity staff goes to great effort to provide a diverse, interesting and enjoyable array of activities both in and outside of the building.
