I toured SummerHouse Ashton Manor. It was very nice. The only problem I had with them was their price. It was a little high. Also, they didn't have any facilities open for my father when we needed it. I talked to a few of the people in there, and they loved it. Most of them that I talked to had been there since the facility opened. They had nothing but great things to say about it. The rooms were very nice, clean, freshly painted, and spacious. I talked to the administrator there. She was very nice. She showed us everything we asked, and she answered all our questions.

It is a beautiful place. They have very nice people. I like it. It's a little further for me, though; It was very hard for me to decide, very hard. The staff was lovely people, and they were very nice. The facility is beautiful, the rooms were huge. It is out in an open area that allows for a more spacious feel around it, kind of almost like a country location.

It was clean, and it didn't look like a nursing home or anything. It had the feeling of openness in the library and the common areas, and the rooms were big. I was definitely considering them because it is in Luling, and that's where I live, so it would've been more convenient. It was very nice. The person I interacted with was accommodating. It had nice, big hallways and open spaces, and it was easy to get around.

The rooms and Memory Care looked clean and new. It's in a nice area and kind of reminded me of a resort. The staff was very informative and they answered the questions I asked exactly how I wanted them to be answered. I was impressed with them. I don't have any complaints about that place. You don't feel like you're walking into a nursing home.

I toured and it was very nice. The size was very nice, and it's very well set up. They offered a lot of activities like Bingo and some painting. It's COVID, so the activities they have is very limited right now, but prior to COVID they did a lot more. I didn't meet a whole bunch of staff. I just met with the one who gave me the tour and she was very eager to work with me and followed up a few times with me on our decision. For amenities, it had a courtyard, a workout area for the seniors, a laundry area, different lunch areas, a library, and a gathering room.

My son is doing wonderful here. The people there love him. They keep him active and busy and have him help out with chores around the place. I'm very satisfied. Even though he is the youngest person there, they're very active with him and the staff love him to death. There are a lot of activities. He is in the memory care section and they said that he has the people in there doing things that the workers could never get them to do like playing ball and throwing the ball around.
