We went with Hickory Pointe. It's very small and very rural. It was probably built in the 1970s. The place is kind of old-fashioned, but it looks good and is kept up well. The grounds are mowed frequently. The people are very caring and kind. The chef cooks really old-fashioned foods like chicken and dumplings and homemade bread. Mom fits in well. The rooms are large and have nice dressers that were probably built in the 1970s. You can tell that the facility has been freshly painted. The windows look out on rose bushes. It's just rustic. Each room has its own bedroom, a bathroom, and two dressers. There are private and semi-private rooms, and I think they are quite roomy. There's always room for improvement. I would highly recommend this place.

I hate Hickory Pointe. The room was Ok, but it had no smoking area, which I think is terrible. The food was terrible; I don’t like institutional food. Some of the staff was very good, and some weren’t so good.
