My sister is in Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community. They haven't had COVID. From the help to the residents and everything, I have been very, very pleased so I can give them the very best rating. I find them very professional and very warm. My twin had to be taken to the hospital and the follow-up was very good. They keep me informed, and I only have positive things to say. They're four years old but very nice, very clean, and aesthetically pleasant. The cooks are outstanding, too. I only hear from staff, my twin, and the residents and they say the food is very good. I'm not familiar with all the activities my twin participates in. They have a calendar with monthly, daily, and weekly activities. I have been all over. Not only familiar with here, but other areas and all of them do the best they can, but we are deeply pleased with our choice.

My Dad has been at Bartles since August 2015 and I haven't worried about him at all since he's been there.. The staff is awesome from the Nurses and CNA's to Housekeeping staff to the Food Service staff to the Maintenance staff. My Dad has even made the comment "he loves it here" when asked how he likes living at Bartles.

I visited Bartels in Waverly, and it was very expensive. It was a good community, and most likely it would be a good place to live, but it would be too expensive for me to live there. I think the staff is good. I would recommend Bartels; if you can afford to live there, it would be fun. They have apartments, assisted rooms, and assisted care. It was beyond my price range, so I have to say two or something because I cannot afford to stay there.

When I visited Bartels Lutheran for my husband, I saw that it was a very nice facility. It was beautiful and very clean. Their staff was very friendly. They also had activities there, e.g., ice cream socials and so forth.
