I wasn't as impressed with Monticello Villas of Hollybrook as the other place we visited. The gentleman who took us on the tour was very pleasant. He was very nice to us and everyone we were introduced to was also very nice. I liked the place, but it just wasn't as cheery or kept up, maybe because it's an older place. My husband needed to have gluten-free diet, but they don't have that. We saw a room there. It was OK, but maybe I didn't like it that much because of the way it's decorated. I think the place needed a little updating; maybe they should repaint it. They have activities, movies, they go on little trips, and so on.

We have already placed mother at Monticello Villas of Holly Brook. They're phenomenal. They provide meals and help with medicine, bathing, clothing, and laundry. Everything's wonderful. They're very attentive. The food is very good and homemade, and they have a kitchen staff that makes it onsite.

We visited Monticello Villas of Hollybrook. We were not satisfied because the gentleman who talked to us about the home wrote us off before we had the tour. He told us about the amenities. They offered us lunch, which was nice. However, they weren't going to give us a tour at all until I complained. We had one of his girls take us on a real quickie that wasn't very good. He just wasn't interested in us. Monticello Villas is all on one floor, which is nice. Everything was clean. The receptionists who you first meet were very nice. It is all brand new. They have a nice dining room. I saw one apartment. It was empty and very small. It was just too small for us.

Monticello Villas of Hollybrook's staff is very friendly, the grounds are very clean and neat, and it's a nice location. The people who lived there looked happy, and it was very nice. I have nothing bad to say about it.

Although this is a newer facility it has changed executive directors four times in a year. The staff turnover rate is very high, and the CNAs do not stay long enough to become trained and confident to handle moving or bathing of residents. The kitchen help also has a very high turnover rate and the menus are mostly starches and salty meats. This facility has been under quarantine twice during the past year for respiratory viruses. My parents were persuaded, against my wishes, by the new facade and the more inexpensive monthly rates. Unfortunately, they have found that "you get what you pay for". Another concern is the lack of a close, well equipped hospital. The hospital nearby is only minimally equipped to deal with cardiac and medical emergencies and must transport patients out to the nearby cities, which in an emergency, is not the best option.

The Villas of Holly Brook is a brand new facility. They had an open house and everyone was just as helpful as they could be and the residents were all very happy. The staff was excellent. They served food and it was quite good. The rooms are beautiful; They are spacious and very nice. I would recommend them to my friends if they need such services.
