Arbor Rose of Monticello

We're moving mom to Arbor Rose of Monticello. I know people who work there, and I've heard good things from people that have had family members there with Alzheimer's. We've already visited, signed the contract, and we're moving her in tomorrow. I was so impressed. I was only able to go into half of the building. I had a smartphone, and they did a virtual tour with it on one-half of the building, and that's for the rehab half. The half that mom is going to be on is beautiful, and has bright colors to help stimulate their minds. They have activities every day. They have exercise every day. They have a very big area, and a hallway that's painted by the owner's daughter, that's very stimulating to the mind. Since they can't go outside with this Covid, they're doing everything possible to keep them stimulated, keep them moving, and keep their minds working instead of sitting there or letting them watch TV. The other half that I took a tour into were the rooms, bedrooms, the common area, everything. The staff answered every single question. They gave me even more information that I didn't know about her being with dementia. They continuously ask, "What is your mom like? What is she not like?" I was very impressed. It's a beautiful facility. They have a cook. Once this Covid thing is over, we can come in every day and eat lunch with her. Once a month, they have a family get-together, and they have a buffet set out so everybody can come in, talk and socialize.
