Since coming to the St. Anthony Cottages in April of 2023, we have found the facilities well cared for. When we first moved in, there were some things in the apartment that needed attention. Tyler and his staff responded immediately and have continued to do so. Proper maintenance is an ongoing process and requires our assistance and notice to the Staff. Lawns are well cared for, walks and driveway are plowed, shoveled and cleared when they need to be, and the weekly cleaning of the apartment has exceeded expectations. There is an ongoing issue with the Internet service; but there seems to be an issue region wide. Tyler and his staff have been very accommodating to bring us back online as soon as possible--typically within hours if not minutes. There is a power surge issue that is hard to overcome under any circumstance. They have replaced hardware so effected without hesitation. Periodically the internet will go down sometime in the weekend. I do not request the repair being respectful of their family time on weekends. They have always fixed the issue on the following Monday morning. The Staff has been remarkably responsive and service oriented. Like most businesses, staff turnover is a problem--as it is an any industry right now. It takes some patience to help teach and direct as they learn their positions. It does require some adjustment on our behalf as we get to know the new staff. Most of our staff relationship is through the food services. The Food presentation suffers sometimes with new staff, but overall is supplied well prepared. I would suggest that the food is high quality cafeteria. Sometimes lacking in protein, but nevertheless of decent quality. The delivery of the meals is consistently a little late and sometimes early. I think the worse we've seen has been 30 minutes early and 45 minutes late. Normally the delivery is within 5 to 10 minutes of when it's promised. There are abundant activities, and the staff are open to suggestions. If you want to volunteer, it seems this is the best area to do so. There are budget constraints; but overall, seems adequate in variety to keep us interested. The Value is superior to other facilities I've seen or visited. This place isn't perfect, none are, but we are cared for, respected, and looked after like we are family. Our fellow residents are friendly, accepting, and enjoyable to be around.

The food has turned to slop at all the facilities. I have friends in Rexburg, at the Cove, and in St. Anthony. If they make a complaint, nothing is done. The poor service and kitchen staff is so nice, but they are untrained, and the turnover is terrible. I don't know how sanitary the kitchen is anymore. You don't see hair nets, but there is snacking. I don't know what has happened here. When I came to lunch with friends a few years ago, the food was quite appetizing. Now it is terrible, and even though the owners have been told, nothing is done. Nothing. It is very discouraging to pay so much yet face cutbacks in quantity and quality. Very discouraging.

We got Mom over into The Homestead Senior Living. The care is very nice. The rooms are incredible. She's in a studio. I know twice a day they do physical rehab with her, they have church meetings, and they have games. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and very concerned.

We took my brother to The Homestead Senior Living about three weeks ago. It's a beautiful place. It's segregated into three different parts. They have a unit for more severe Alzheimer's or whatever, they have a unit that's not quite so bad, and then they have one that's not bad at all. They analyze the person for a couple of weeks to see where they should be placed, and it's all in this one caring center. Once they've done that, then they pretty much go from there and go on with all the things that they do for the elderly. I don't think my brother is going to be happy and he wants to come home, but his memory isn't allowing him to do anything. He kind of took off, he was a little bit of a risk, so he ended up going to the hospital and getting put on some meds to help him so that he doesn't have so much anxiety. The staff is very professional and very good. They keep me informed of everything that I need to be informed of. I have power of attorney, so I call all the time to make sure if he needs anything, they call me and let me know how he's doing. I have seen their meals. It smelled and looked good. They have a lot of activities and a lot of entertainment. They have swimming, biking, and picnics. They have parades and day outings. They have trips to Yellowstone and stuff like that. I think it's worth every dime.

We found The Homestead Senior Living for my mother. She's been there almost a month. We've been very pleased. They've taken awesome care of her. I did go to visit her yesterday and everything was great. We chose it because she had two grandchildren that lived within maybe three blocks of the place and so they were able to visit her more often than we could have anywhere else. We all chose that because of the ratings. We like the people who run it. They are a family. They provide a lot of extracurricular activities for the people. They even brought in animals for them to interact with. My mother is very much into animals. So it was nice to have a wonderful picture of her with her group of puppies that were brought in last week. So that was nice. The food was wonderful. I went over and ate with her. They allow that. And it's just a wonderful place. They are very polite. When you call there, they say the name of the place and then they say, "How can I serve you?" They're all very polite, and they have extra services like hairdo. She can get her hair done or can go for ice cream, there's an ice cream parlor there. It's just very homey. Everything is landscaped beautifully, they've got several different buildings according to care. A lot of social things are going on. It's decorated, absolutely beautiful. And the price was very comparable with everybody else we checked with. They had some games going on yesterday where they gave them a swatter so they could hit the balloon and there were a lot of people that were participating. I know they have arts and crafts for some of them that can do that. They have a large TV with comfortable chairs. Nice staff, I enjoyed the staff very much.

Amazing assisted living facility! My Great grandmother lived here for the last few years of her life and she couldn’t have been more satisfied with this place. The staff is very friendly and the owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I would highly Recommend the Homestead if you are looking for a good assisted living with friendly staff!

Our 92 yr. old sweet mother is presently a resident here. She has been there several months and we couldn't be happier with the care, the cleanliness of the facility, her room size, and especially when we have a question or need we have been so impressed with Jared. He is very prompt in returning our messages, and is always so kind and bends over backwards to help us. All the staff has been wonderful, they are always so friendly, courteous and helpful. The caregivers are wonderful and young, but very competent and caring. They have enthusiasm for life and you can tell they enjoy their service and work there. Our family members enjoy the popcorn, soda and ice cream they can have when they visit grandma or great grandma!! Mother hasn't physically been able to do a lot of the activities, but enjoys the bingo and just visiting with the other residents. We have loved being able to rent the van, including the driver, and take mom in her wheelchair and us in the van with her for a ride. Of course, we all wear masks, and have such a wonderful time. Brad the bus driver was amazing too!! On the way home, we stopped at Dairy Queen and got dinner for all of us, then went back to the facility and had dinner in the cafeteria with mom!! These are memory making experiences with our children and grandchildren and for mother too! Thanks Homestead for being such a ideal place for our mother, and making us feel like family!

I love Homestead. They have lots of amenities, and I like the people working there. They have a very nice place. It is really great. I would like to have gone there, but my children decided that I should stay with my daughter. The food was good, too.

We really liked Homestead. When we toured, they were feeding people and seemed really congenial. We met the owner, who showed us around. It's not a very big community. If someone wants to stay in their room and doesn't feel like going down to the cafeteria, they'd just bring up their food instead. They showed us an apartment with a lady already living there and it was very nice. It sounded like they hired a lot of young college students to work there because it's a college town. I think they'll be really good. There's a set fee for your rent and meals that won't go up or down.

We visited Homestead. The gentleman was very nice, and my husband did the walk around, and was very impressed. It was really good, very clean, and we're quite pleased. The library was very nice.

We placed my 90 year old mother in the new Homestead assisted living a few months ago. We were worried that she would be homesick for her home. But it appears that she is happy as a clam there. She loves the fact that she has a button around her neck that she can push to get someone to help her or bring her a coke. The food is good and they have snacks and drinks when ever she likes. They do a good job to watch out for her. She says that they are genuinely loving and kind to her. She loves that. She feels safe there and doesn't have to worry about all of life's problems other than taking care of herself. They help her shower and bring in her meds on time. They do her laundry and clean her room. She has made friends there with the staff and other residents. We as a family can come eat with her if we want to or we can bring food in, and eat with her in a private room. Her studio is just perfect for her. It has a small kitchen area and a huge bathroom. The facility common area is absolutely gorgeous with fireplaces and large screen TV's. There are activities and "field trips" everyday like going to bear world. The owners and staff will bend over backwards to make you and your elderly parent happy. We know if she falls or something happens she has immediate help. We couldn't be happier.

I've already placed my grandmother at the Homestead. I chose them because they are closer to where I live, so I can go and visit with her on a regular basis, and also because they are really a small facility, so I feel comfortable that she will get the care that she deserves.

I really like the look and the feel of the facility. Seemed a bit smallish but I noticed that the employees seemed to enjoy what they were doing and the elderly I talked to were actually quite friendly and all seemed happy with the facility. Had a very "new" and "well kept" feel about the 2 buildings I visited (there were 3 total buildings). Was able to talk to the owner and he was a very friendly happy guy who just loved what he did. The area administered I talked to to be a kind of rushed and hurried guy, but decent enough. The facility didn't have much outside walking room, so I found that to be kind of a draw back. It had a very calm a relaxed atmosphere. The facility was very open to allowing religious services be conducted on a weekly basis if needs be, which is good considering the highly Christian area in which it's located.
