The administrator shows favoritism to her favorite residents she also lets those residents gets away with anything they want. She treats the rest of us like dirt. When I've had problems with some of the staff members she said two staff members answer my call light being that it takes two staff members to answer the light. The light is not answered in a timely manner! The food is disgusting the kitchen staff. Eaither over cooks the food or under cooks the food.

My Mom was a resident of Desert View for several years until her passing. I could not have asked for a better place for her. They treated her with care, respect and mostly love. Any concerns or questions were answered promptly. They had activities for them, took them for rides, had picnics. Mom referred to the staff as her girls. And the main telling point was the dr at the ER when Mom had to be taken in said it was the first time someone said they wanted to go back to the home. They truly made it HER home. They were her girls and I am forever grateful for the love and care they provided to her.

My mother is a current resident at Desert View. Don't let first impressions of the facility taint your opinion. We transferred my mother from a "nice looking" home to Desert View. The Desert View staff treat her like she is family. When she was hospitalized, the staff would visit my mother. They welcome my father with open arms, going to the extent of moving my mother to a room with enough space that my dad could spend the night with her during her last days. Before moving Mom to Desert View, I stopped in unannounced. I loved the interaction between all staff and the residents. The Director of Nursing was doing nursing care which rarely ever happens. I could not recommend Desert View enough! They truly love and care for their residents!

My husband is at Desert View Care Center. It is a full nursing staff facility. The work-attitude of the staff is good. The room is very clean. There are plenty of rooms. The nurses are friendly. They have good rehab facility. Food is really good. We ate with him once, and anytime we want to go up to eat; we can eat with him.
