"I toured At Home Senior Living of Jesup. They served me lunch there. They went to the kitchen and got me something even though lunch had already been served. This facility is the farthest from me. I went there during the time when there was an ice alert, and it was a very harrowing experience for me. When I got up there, they offered to tour the rooms. They only had one-sized rooms. The deposits were sizable, and they were lacking some services that the other two facilities had. The staff that I was actually scheduled to meet couldn't meet me. I ended up talking to a whole different person. Because of the ice, she couldn't leave, and thus she stayed with me. We talked for four hours. She was very attentive. She stayed with me all the way until I had enough, and I wanted to go home. There were other staff members who would stop by and said hi. They were all very lively and energetic in my assessment. I'm a cancer recovery patient, so my diet is very much based on something pureed or fluids. They gave me soup, which was okay. There was nothing extraordinary about it, but it was something that I could eat. They made that soup especially for me. They said they could customize food if there's a requirement."

"My husband was at the nursing facility of Altamaha Healthcare Center in Jesup, and there's nothing I like about it. The place was dirty, and my husband stank. He got sick, and they wouldn't send him to the emergency room. Finally, my daughter, who is a nurse, went there and got them to send him to the emergency room. It turned out he had a UTI and sepsis. His blood pressure was so low that they had to give him medication to raise it. It was life-threatening, and it took days to get him to the emergency room. The doctor even said he is not sending my husband back to that place. I have not tasted the food, but my husband said it was horrible. One time, he asked for a glass of ice water before I came to see him. I had to ask for it myself when I arrived, and it was still 30 minutes after I asked for them to get it when it came. The structure was terrible, and the layout of the room was horrible. On holidays, I also noticed that the employees brought their kids to work. If you love your loved ones, you will not put them there."

"My husband is in the nursing facility of Coastal Manor in Ludowici. They're very good, I don't have anything bad to say. They take excellent care of him. He's bathed, and the doctor in the facility takes very good care of him. All the workers and the nurses are very polite. They know me because I used to come see my husband every other day, but it was getting too much for me, so now I go twice a week. Even the housekeepers are very nice. When I'm visiting my husband, and they come in to clean the room, they're always so polite. They tell me not to worry, and they'll just work around me. They also have a transport van at the facility. My husband says some of the food is not as good, but most of the time it's good. The structure is very good. Every hallway and every inside of every room is cleaned every day. They have a big TV room for the people there. They have activities all month long, but my husband is bedridden and can't sit in a wheelchair because of spinal stenosis, so he doesn't want to go. The activities are fantastic, though. They also have a big game room where they have all kinds of games and puzzles. It's nice. The place has a very good layout. They have a huge nurse's desk in the middle of the hallway. Their beds could be better, but their rooms are a good size and very nice. My husband shares a room. The price to me is high because I have to pay for him and make sure I can survive, too. However, I just feel comfortable knowing he's being taken care of when I'm not there."

"My dad has been in Glenvue Nursing Home for only a month now, and we are still adjusting. The staff is awesome. Everybody has been very good. It is clean, and it is only five miles from my house. It works out really well. They can improve on having more activities. They have some activities, but not many. However, so far, the staff has been very good. He is very pleased with the food. "
