"We chose the Villa Rose for my aunt. She will move in this month. We liked it for the location and size. The staff was very helpful, answered all the questions, typical sales. The facility does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's clean. They have a basic cable, Wifi, they have a dining hall, and all the rooms are private. It's close to our home, that's why we liked it."

When searching for a facility, we didn't just need somewhere that merely checked in on their residents, but a facility that is capable of delivering high quality and specialized medical care. We found exactly what we were looking for right here in Butler, Georgia. I always found the caregivers to be courteous, knowledgeable, and respectful of the dignity of the people in their charge. My great aunt has also confirmed that she has the same experience. She would often tell of how the caregivers went above and beyond to make her feel like this was not just somewhere she had to stay, but somewhere that she could feel comfortable with calling her second home. The d̩cor of the assisted living facility was warm and inviting, and residents who wanted to could sit on the old style porch outside and enjoy the outdoors. I would definitely recommend this facility for anyone who is looking to place a loved one in an assisted-living environment, or for someone considering staying there themselves. "

"My mom is currently at Taylor County Health and Rehabilitation. They went above and beyond to help me in getting my mom into their facility. They got us all set up and I didn't have any problems. Everyone is kind and caring, and they make sure that my mom is comfortable. It is a wonderful place. I'm very pleased with the nursing home and the rehab center altogether. It's very clean and they're all very helpful. They call me any time changes ought to be made or something is going on. I'm very happy, very pleased, and very satisfied. Her room is wonderful. The bathroom is right there by the room. The food is good, too. She goes into the recreation room and plays bingo with the other residents there."

"We are choosing John-Wesley Villas because the room that we are getting is down right off the dining hall, and my mom can’t walk very far, so this is very convenient for her. They’ll be doing her medication management, and they check on their patients every two hours, which is what we need for my mom. They provide a shuttle service if my mom needs to go to her doctor’s appointments. "

"The Oaks is overall a good quality facility for the elderly. The facility is not very large, but big enough to accommodate their needs. It is located in a great area in the country--so the residents can sit outside and have a good breath of fresh air and view the countryside. The staff was always very attentive to the residents. My great-grandmother was never neglected or mistreated by the staff. The rooms are on the smaller side but the bathrooms are plenty big for those who can't move around very easily and for the handicapped. The Oaks provides an ample amount of activities for the residents to participate in. They also have an on-going calendar of events where people come and entertain the residents. Whenever I went there to sing, many of the residents came out to listen and participated. They always seemed content and happy. My great-grandmother was there for about a year and then left to go live with her daughter because of extensive physical problems. But her stay there was enjoyable. "

"My brother stayed at The Oaks at Peake for 10 days. It is extremely clean and nice. The nurses were extremely nice. One complaint we had was that the girl in charge of him went on vacation for a week, and we were supposed to have a family consultation on a Monday or Tuesday, so we had to wait until the following Monday and by then he had progressed even worse. We weren't getting any feedback at all. They should have had somebody there who talked to us instead of just that one girl. "

"Kingsford of Warner Robins is very nice and it's small. There are no more than 40 residents. My mom's really happy there. The staff is really caring and they genuinely like what they're doing. I've got nothing but great things to say about the place. They play card games and Bingo, and there's an outside group that comes in on a regular basis for exercise. She seems to really like what she's doing there. Her room is spacious. It's a one-bedroom apartment essentially. She loves the food. Everyone that I've met has been great. It's not brand new, but it's well-maintained. It's in a nice, quiet, peaceful area of town and it's very comfortable."

"A neighbor of mine is at Plantation Suites. I could not have asked for anything better. Everything has been great. She has a large bedroom/living room area with a large closet. She also has a small kitchen area and a bathroom facility with a handicapped access shower. The dining room is excellent too with a family-type atmosphere. They have an excellent chef as well and the food is very good. They do have lots of activities like the traditional bingo and games. They have worship services and people come in and sing and entertain. They also have physical therapy. "

"My mother is at Baptist Village Plantation Villas. So far, it's great. Her room is spacious and clean. Everybody is nice. It's perfect. I have no complaints. They have Bingo, movie nights, they go places, and they have different activities. They have meals on certain days and they all get together. She hasn't eaten in the cafeteria yet, but all the rooms have their own full kitchen. The staff is excellent. A lot of neighbors have stopped by and they said they love it there. They have a library and ground maintenance is covered. It's just a beautiful neighborhood."

"Zebulon Park Health and Rehabilitation is excellent and the nursing care seems to be very good. The staff has been very helpful. My friend's room is very nice. It has a bathroom, but no kitchenette as she has limited mobility. Maintenance and upkeep are excellent. They're relatively new. So, the facilities are very clean and very up to date."

"The Oaks - Peake in Macon is incredibly nice and very caring. It's a big assisted living facility with a lot of residents and staff, and they do a really good job. My mother-in-law lives in a shared room, and it's a pretty big size. She's able to have some of her furniture with her. There's really nothing negative I would ever say about that place. They have several living rooms that are nice that you can use with your guests. They have big, long halls with rails all the way down, so the people who have walking difficulties can hold on and walk, or you can pull your wheelchair with it. As far as I can tell, the food looks really good. They have their own chef up there, and it looks like good food. It's not fancy either. It's a regular kind of home cooking, but it's really nice and it tastes good. I've had it, and I've actually met the chef too. They do something every day. They have bingo, guessing games, and all the little games they play. Their activities are really good. There's a lady there named Rhonda who is really good with the residents. She's the activities director, I think, and she knows them all by name. She's really hands on and really good. Outside, they have a patio and a driveway. They have a front porch with some chairs or benches. They have a central courtyard that's really nice, and they can go sit under a little tent outside. They have a pretty grassy area with a lot of trees. It's a pretty property."

"Carlyle Place, Navicent Health offers a full continuum of care, meaning, they all have independent and all levels of care. I went to see their independent living. It's a very large campus, and well-maintained with pretty landscaping and all. The staff showed me several homes that I want in the independent living part. They are individual, stand-alone homes. They're not connected. It looked like a pretty nice neighborhood. The person who assisted me during my visits was very kind and knowledgeable. She offered to eat with me in their main dining room. It was at her expense. The independent people can go there if they want to. The food was delicious. I had steak and it was good. I didn't see a lot going on but she showed me where the different activities would take place, and they had a nice library that they set up themselves. The only actual activity I saw happening was some residents that were playing pickleball. I also saw a resident at the exercise room that was riding a bicycle for exercise. I hate to say anything negative, but it is expensive. You pay a fairly large entry fee. At any of these places, you have a big enough monthly fee, and it's good, the things that it covers, but the only reason I'm not jumping in and going there is because of the way the economy is. I'm not sure yet that I can afford it."

"The Gables at Wolf Creek was really nice. I liked it. I saw a very nice one-bedroom apartment with hardwood floors. The facility was equipped for handicapped people and wheelchair accessible. The residents were nice. They had all kinds of activities, like bingo. There's a parking space right in front of the apartment, which would be very convenient for us. "
