"We're planning to move Dad into Sunny Hills ALF of Homestead. We really like the place, you know, it looked organized, clean, with enough personnel attending the people that live there. They shared all the information that we thought was necessary to know. So, overall, they did a good job. The room was spacious, very private because they had their own restroom, closet, and they offered individual rooms, or rooms to share with one roommate. The administrator took care of us, and she gave a week and a half follow up call to see what we thought and where we were in the process. It was good. We did not try the food, but the dining area looked spacious, with enough room for whoever lives there. The facility is divided into two, the section that we were in, it was the section where they have people with mental issues, so they weren't having activities at that moment because we went at lunch time. But they did mention that they do have time for them to either share games or whatever they are still capable of doing. They try to keep them active."

"In Miami it's very difficult to get a good assisted living facility. You have a whole bunch. They are not that great. After looking and searching, this is okay. My dad likes it there so far and he's been there probably about two or three months. When I go there people are nice. They talk to you. They interact with him. So far when I talk to him he does not complain. We got an apartment for him just like a house. He shares a room with another person there. It's a very nice and clean place. They cook there and the front is very nice. They play bingo and stuff like that. "

"Everything about Sylvia's Senior Home was excellent. The staff who showed me around was pleasant. The rooms were nice. The place was nice and quiet and had a table where they chit chat and play cards outdoors. They make sure that the residents go to the bathroom every two to three hours."

"So far, the people at ACC Sunshine Assisted Living Facility are very nice. They let us know how my mother-in-law is doing and they send us pictures. It's a very clean place. The other people that are there look very clean and the house looks very clean. We have no complaints so far."

"AM Sweet Home ALF seemed very nice and clean. We liked it enough that we were going to place my mother there. It's a large home, and everybody had their individual bedrooms, which were very nice and nice sized. The house was kept very well and modern. It had a nice yard. The staff seemed very friendly, and the residents looked very clean. The administrator was very pleasant and accommodating. There's a big dining room, but they also had a more casual dining area off the kitchen. They had counter seating also. The residents were just sitting around watching TV when I was there."

"I went to St. Anne’s Nursing Center, the building was fine, and it looked very good actually. There was a bus available to transport residents to different locations. The staff was friendly. The only problem I had was they’re not very prompt in their communication. It’s a pretty big complex with four to six wings and two floors."

"My mother is in Floridian Gardens. It is a very clean place. The nurses are very nice. The food is good. We are happy with the place. I like that there are a lot of people, and they are always very happy. They have some kind of activities like they bring in pianist, they do karaoke, and they dance. They keep the patients active all the time. "

"I toured Humble Care Assisted Living. When I got there, the lady who accommodated us was very friendly, very sweet, and said, "Oh yes, you have an appointment and we're waiting for you." She had everything organized, got a book, and wrote my name and information. Then she went ahead with the tour and showed me everything. Another staff member came over who was cooking so I went to the kitchen, and everything was very clean. The place was so homey, anybody there would feel like family so I love that house. They have private rooms and two people in one room. The amenities was their kitchen, they have a laundry, and even a patio that they take the residents over. They have two dining rooms where people eat. It was a nice place, with more than six residents or so. The staff explained everything, they took the time and were really good. I think the structure of the place was very nice and comfortable. They were cooking, but the house smelled so good and that really caught my attention. It was clean and doesn’t smell bad."

"I have my wife in an adult day care called La Edad Prodigiosa, it's in Cutler Bay. We've been with them for a couple of weeks now. Our schedule is 8 am to 5 pm, Mondays through Fridays. She stays there during the day while I do whatever I have to do. They have all kinds of activities, they give them breakfast and lunch, and they also offer transportation when needed. I usually drop her off and pick her up, but if I can't, they will pick her up and take her home. The staff was excellent. Their place is a very nice, clean, and spacious facility. Everything's well organized and the attention that they are giving to the seniors is excellent. They have board games, dominoes, and they have bingo. They have a TV there too. They have exercises and they do some dancing. They keep them entertained, pretty much all the time."

"I was at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami. It was super clean and super new. I'm going to give superlative ratings on Encompass. The best rehab I've ever done. I was very impressed with their staff. Their food was marvelous. They're very accommodating and very attentive. They gave superlative service. They're very competent and seemed to be well trained and well-coached. I was very impressed. They spent so much time on therapy, I didn't really have time for activities and I like that because I wanted to be coached into better health and they really concentrated on it. They had a wonderful equipped facility. I've never seen one so well equipped and managed. They had equipment I've never seen before. They're very good about applying it to my problem. They're just superlative in every respect. I was fully covered by insurance, but whatever they're charging, they're worth it. They're the best I've ever seen."

"My sister has been in an assisted living facility at Whispering Pines Home Care for five months already. It's very well kept and always sparkly clean. They're very nice ladies and always caring and concerned. They seem to enjoy the food. It's a lot of rice which my sister isn't that crazy about, but we've gone in there and they've been eating and everybody seems to be eating it happily, so I don't think it's bad in any way. When I would go in, it's just before or just after lunch, and then she likes to take a nap, so we sit with her and talk until she's ready to take a nap. It's a lovely home and they have a nice patio area and a nice living room/TV room that they can sit in and watch TV if they want. Value for money is very good. Every place else wanted over almost $3000 and she didn't have that money. We were able to use her Social Security check and some of her money and then they're applying for Medicaid for her. I'm very happy I found them."

"My wife found Ideal Home Care for my grandmother. It’s great; her room is a regular bedroom with a hospital bed and a bathroom. It’s clean, the staff is very friendly, and the other residents are very friendly as well. I have no complaints. I usually go in the afternoon, and the activities are done by that time, but they have a calendar of activities. My grandmother enjoys the food. "
