"Sunny Hills ALF of Homestead was clean, very nice, and very organized. I was impressed by it. The pricing was a lot cheaper than most of the facilities. They had very large rooms and they had their own private room. The room was big enough that you could have not only a bed, but you could have a little stove and a little dining room table and a microwave in there. It had a pretty big closet wth a lot of organization in the closet. They also had a lot of games the residents can play throughout the day."

"In Miami it's very difficult to get a good assisted living facility. You have a whole bunch. They are not that great. After looking and searching, this is okay. My dad likes it there so far and he's been there probably about two or three months. When I go there people are nice. They talk to you. They interact with him. So far when I talk to him he does not complain. We got an apartment for him just like a house. He shares a room with another person there. It's a very nice and clean place. They cook there and the front is very nice. They play bingo and stuff like that. "

"Everything about Sylvia's Senior Home was excellent. The staff who showed me around was pleasant. The rooms were nice. The place was nice and quiet and had a table where they chit chat and play cards outdoors. They make sure that the residents go to the bathroom every two to three hours."

"So far, the people at ACC Sunshine Assisted Living Facility are very nice. They let us know how my mother-in-law is doing and they send us pictures. It's a very clean place. The other people that are there look very clean and the house looks very clean. We have no complaints so far."

"AM Sweet Home ALF seemed very nice and clean. We liked it enough that we were going to place my mother there. It's a large home, and everybody had their individual bedrooms, which were very nice and nice sized. The house was kept very well and modern. It had a nice yard. The staff seemed very friendly, and the residents looked very clean. The administrator was very pleasant and accommodating. There's a big dining room, but they also had a more casual dining area off the kitchen. They had counter seating also. The residents were just sitting around watching TV when I was there."

"St Anne's Nursing Center appears to be very quiet and peaceful from the outside. There is plenty of parking for guests as well which is a major plus. The inside maintains and matches the exterior feel, spacious and peaceful. The staff, including the front desk receptionist, are very courteous and greet you with a smile upon entering and leaving the premises. The facilities are clean and far from what has been described to me by friends and acquaintances of most nursing homes as "smelling like death". There is a very interesting sun room where the patients can relax. The glass window to the sun room houses a mini zoo outside where different colored parrots fly around and perch on the balcony. There is also an older piano located here along with TV, couches, round tables and comfortable chairs. Of course, it is wheelchair accessible as often as possible with more than one elevator on each floor. The patients appeared to be comfortable and had good communication with the nurses and other staff. The nurses particularly made an effort to ensure as many patients as possible were involved in the chaplain service. Overall, I can't really say that there were any negative comments. I have made subsequent visits here and have been met with the same treatment and atmosphere. "

"Seasons Gardens in Miami is a very nice assisted living place, and they keep it very clean. They also keep their seniors active. They're not in bed at all during the day. They're constantly out of bed. They do different activities with them, like drawing and dancing. That's basically what seniors need. Sometimes with people at home, they just sit with them and watch TV. In Seasons Gardens, they have activities. They do watch a little bit of TV, but not like the whole day. There is some staff that is really caring. You can tell that they're there for the residents. There are some that are not that caring. I've seen both sides, but I know that nothing is perfect. They're very good at communicating with me. They send me pictures of things that my mom is doing there. They serve healthy food, and they have their own kitchen there. The food is made there, and it's made healthy. She's in a shared room, but she doesn't have a roommate right now. They clean the room every day. They have a big room where they have all the activities. If somebody needs a haircut, they also do their haircut there once a month. They have volunteers that come and do their nails as part of their activities. They have a lot of very nice areas outside with comfortable furniture. It has lots of trees and wind chimes. It's very beautiful, and they keep it nice. The only thing I've seen that I didn't like and they have to be on top of would be my mom not wanting to take showers. They are constantly asking if she wants to take a shower and, of course she's going to say no. She goes a week without taking a shower or I have to tell them to change her linens. It took two weeks for them to change her linens, and that's because I opened my mouth. Those are the only downfalls that I've seen, but I also know that my mom is very difficult."

"I toured Humble Care Assisted Living. When I got there, the lady who accommodated us was very friendly, very sweet, and said, "Oh yes, you have an appointment and we're waiting for you." She had everything organized, got a book, and wrote my name and information. Then she went ahead with the tour and showed me everything. Another staff member came over who was cooking so I went to the kitchen, and everything was very clean. The place was so homey, anybody there would feel like family so I love that house. They have private rooms and two people in one room. The amenities was their kitchen, they have a laundry, and even a patio that they take the residents over. They have two dining rooms where people eat. It was a nice place, with more than six residents or so. The staff explained everything, they took the time and were really good. I think the structure of the place was very nice and comfortable. They were cooking, but the house smelled so good and that really caught my attention. It was clean and doesn’t smell bad."

"I have my wife in an adult day care called La Edad Prodigiosa, it's in Cutler Bay. We've been with them for a couple of weeks now. Our schedule is 8 am to 5 pm, Mondays through Fridays. She stays there during the day while I do whatever I have to do. They have all kinds of activities, they give them breakfast and lunch, and they also offer transportation when needed. I usually drop her off and pick her up, but if I can't, they will pick her up and take her home. The staff was excellent. Their place is a very nice, clean, and spacious facility. Everything's well organized and the attention that they are giving to the seniors is excellent. They have board games, dominoes, and they have bingo. They have a TV there too. They have exercises and they do some dancing. They keep them entertained, pretty much all the time."

"They were very good. They nurses were very well trained and skilled. They were good to my brother, kind, patient and caring. They were responsive to his needs. "

"My sister has been in an assisted living facility at Whispering Pines Home Care for five months already. It's very well kept and always sparkly clean. They're very nice ladies and always caring and concerned. They seem to enjoy the food. It's a lot of rice which my sister isn't that crazy about, but we've gone in there and they've been eating and everybody seems to be eating it happily, so I don't think it's bad in any way. When I would go in, it's just before or just after lunch, and then she likes to take a nap, so we sit with her and talk until she's ready to take a nap. It's a lovely home and they have a nice patio area and a nice living room/TV room that they can sit in and watch TV if they want. Value for money is very good. Every place else wanted over almost $3000 and she didn't have that money. We were able to use her Social Security check and some of her money and then they're applying for Medicaid for her. I'm very happy I found them."

"My wife found Ideal Home Care for my grandmother. It’s great; her room is a regular bedroom with a hospital bed and a bathroom. It’s clean, the staff is very friendly, and the other residents are very friendly as well. I have no complaints. I usually go in the afternoon, and the activities are done by that time, but they have a calendar of activities. My grandmother enjoys the food. "
