I have a friend who lives in Berry Patch. They have one- and two-bedroom apartments, and they're all independent living. They have a clubhouse there, but I don't think there's anything else, like a pool or anything. The folks are all pretty elderly, like her, but they're all mobile, and they each have their own apartment. We both play music, and we did a little performance at the clubhouse one time and everybody was friendly and the staff was OK as well. As far as the buildings are concerned, she keeps getting mice coming into her place. There's a neighbor who's not very clean, and she's wondering if it's coming from them indirectly, but she's quite upset about that. There's a lady who's in the office over at the clubhouse, and my girlfriend was saying that she's kind of a moody person. Once in a while, she'll be a little cranky when she goes in there to ask something. I wouldn't give her a real high rating. The size of her room is average. She took a two-bedroom, which of course is more money, and they raised the rent for next year $65, which is quite a lot. It's probably one of the lower rents around. That's why there are so many people going there because of the fees, but sometimes there's no reason to keep jacking up the prices when you're not doing any improvements. They have a clubhouse, and now and then they'll have a little special party or something, and they have kind of a large room, and then on the side of that room is where they have tables, like cafeteria style. It's really not set up like the other place where they dine in a beautiful area. There's very little dining there. It has to be a special event. She's getting a lot of cold air from her windows, and the mice are coming in through the front door because there's a big gap there. They don't serve food over there. On the occasion that we had, people brought in their own casserole and things like that. There isn't a whole lot going on that I'm aware of. I don't even think that they get a newsletter or anything like that. They just post something out on the front of the building if they're gonna do something. When you drive in there, the little road is all bumpy.
