We have served the community since 1903. The Witherell is committed to person-centered care provided by a compassionate, highly competent, and experienced staff. We are fortunate to have an extremely low turnover rate – six times lower than Connecticut’s nursing home average – which translates into stability and continuity for our residents. We are nonprofit, and are owned and operated by the Town of Greenwich. Witherell is the only nursing home in Connecticut that is municipally owned. When you visit the Witherell, you’ll see a beautifully appointed, up-to-date facility. Thanks to Witherell’s recent Project Renew renovation, the infrastructure and environment were dramatically improved. Total construction costs were $27 million.
