"We toured and it was wonderful, and we really enjoyed it. I's clean, old, but it's fine; it's not bad. The people who gave us the tour were great, they showed us everything, they have a community kitchen, they have game rooms, lots of different tours, three meals a day, and they have pretty much all the amenities. We though it was pretty nice. The dining area was very nice, the food was fine, it was not gourmet, but it was fine. They play all kinds of games, and they were involved in some kind of a game when we were there. I just wish it was a little more modern."

"It was nice and they showed me different sized rooms, apartments, studios, and a couple of extra rooms where you can put two people together. It's a single-story building. The staff member who gave me the tour was very nice. They play bingo and they have their own bowling team."

"I am currently at Brookdale Gardnerville for about a year and a half now. It’s a good facility, and the staff is very caring. They try to give you a hand if you need anything. When I first came in, they asked me if I wanted to have my laundry done, I said that would be great so they took my laundry, and I have never got a piece of clothing back. They lost it all. Nobody did anything about it. "

"My husband is in Gardnerville Health and Rehab. It's nice, clean, and new, and they just decorated it for Christmas. He's very comfortable there and enjoys the food. The staff is great. I'm happy to see it's an employee-owned facility, and you can go and visit 24/7. He is doing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. I've seen a lot of people doing stuff. He's in a semi-private room, but it's pretty good size."
