Holiday Sierra Hills is fabulous. I enjoyed the personnel. They're very helpful. Everything seems positive. I have friends that have stayed there, and everyone enjoys being there. I've heard nothing negative about it. That was part of the reason that it was the only place we toured. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. Darla went above and beyond. She helped us with my aunt's issues. What she didn't know, she went and did further investigation. She kept us posted on what we needed to do and things we didn't know. Just overall, she's very helpful. We enjoyed the experience. Very, very high marks indeed. We were impressed.

I went to Holiday Sierra Hills. It was an excellent tour. Phillip, who is my escort, answered all questions that I had. He's very knowledgeable and personable. He showed me a couple of rooms, and I think they're nice and they're a good size for me. He showed a dining room, an activity room, a billiard room, and all that. All of that stuff is outstanding. Their menus look good and tasteful. They have an activity schedule they put out every day and every week. It's got everything that's needed. I had a chance to talk to a couple of the residents when we were in the elevator and down in the lobby and they all liked the place. Everybody commented on the great food and plenty of activities. I did try some of their cookies, which were good.

Even though Holiday Sierra Hills is listed as an independent living, you still get assistance just like an assisted living facility would do and they offer excellent service to their residents. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. The food was very good. The dining area was very clean and quiet. I liked the windows in the rooms. You could see the outdoors, the trees, and the excellent scenery from them. There's a shaded balcony and a patio on them, which I was impressed with. They also offer a beauty salon, games, reading, and exercise equipment.

My mom was a resident of Sierra Hills. It was excellent. When my mother needed some care, she was very comfortable. We never had any complaints. The community itself was very nice, it was clean. They would take care of my mother, like cleaning her room, even though my mother was a little bit suspicious of everybody; no complaint at all. I think that it was a good for the years that my mother lived. The staff was very good, no complaints. Her apartment, her room was just very good. It was very comfortable. She wanted to be at home, she missed that, but she was comfortable, and the services were good. They had excellent entertainment for the people. For the ones that were able to enjoy some of the activities, they had a lot of activities, and music at the time. With COVID, I'm not sure anymore, but they did excellent at the time. For someone like my mother, she has Alzheimer's; it's not easy to cope with older people. So, for us, it was kind of difficult, but I see older people there, senior citizens living there. They had a lot of activities, and they were happy. I wanted to mention that while my mother lived there, she never got sick. I think it was due to the healthy food they had, and that she was not exposed to a lot of the flu and viruses that were outside of the facility.

Sierra Hill was excellent. It was a little frenetic; lots of activities going on constantly and a lot of noise, while where I am is peaceful and quiet. So I'm happier here. For me, it was not a good fit. There's too much busyness going on. The staff who assisted me during the tour were not very friendly, and they all go home at night. There's no one with you at night. The food was excellent. It wasn't as clean as where I am now, and sometimes the gardens were neglected. I wasn't impressed with the location, I didn't care for it.

After almost 2 years of residence, the staff and management have been as consistent in their friendliness and service as when my mom first arrived. We love the activities offered such as exercise class and outside music entertainment.

My parents moved into Sierra Hills and so far it seems to be working out pretty well. They have really good caregivers and the food is good. My parents seem to be happy there and it seems to be the right place at the moment. The rooms are very clean. They have people that come in to keep the seniors entertained with bingo and stuff, and there's a lot of other activities going on for them, which is a good thing. We had pretty good communication with the staff, and so far we haven't had any issues.

The apartments at Sierra Hills were excellent. They have a library, a game room, and an exercise room. The staff was excellent as well. We were there for lunch and the manager and assistant manager were out on the floor talking to people and paying attention to them, making sure that the food was OK, and that everybody was happy. They have great activities going on and what I really liked is the fact that Linda, my wife, suffers from clinical depression, and they are going to go out of their way to get what they call an ambassador to help her. It just impressed me that they're paying attention to her issues and making sure that she is well taken care of. It's a beautiful facility. The whole concept behind what they do is helping people out and assisting people, and to me that was just impressive. They spent time with us and showed us everything we could want to see. I was just really impressed with the manager and the staff. They did an excellent job.

I lived in Sierra Hills for a year where I had a large one-bedroom apartment with a patio. I liked the management and the activities chairperson. They had good activities, and the food was fine. I liked the cooks and the master chef. There was an activity called Stickball, which was a lot of fun and exciting. We had two different kinds of bingo, bowling, and exercises.

The person who gave me the tour at Sierra Hills just was very happy. He talked to the residents a lot and asked them about their day, and I really liked that. It was inviting. The room was very clean and big, and it had a good feel. The dining area was very clean and big, it had menus, and all the tables were filled.

We were served lunch at Sierra Hills, and it was so wonderfully set up. They have a wonderful staff there. I saw the clients there, and they loved the food; I could tell that it was an everyday thing. My only problem was the unit was small, and I have to downsize. The units are extremely clean, there’s a kitchenette, and I would definitely tell anyone that it was a good place. They allow pets, they take care of all utilities, all your meals are prepared gourmet style, and you have room service at any time. They have bus service, and parking is available if you drive your own car.

I am living in Sierra Hills. It is good, and I like it. The atmosphere is friendly and nice. The apartments are nice. The staff is friendly. The food and the dining area are good. However, they need to replace the overall area rug because it is already worn, but the rugs in the apartments are nice. The activities are good. The price is fair, and the security is good.

Sierra Hills' food, staff, and pricing were good, and I really wanted my parents to move in there. They had a lot of activities, a gym, a TV room, a pool table, and dancing. It was perfect for them. The security looked OK.

Sierra Hills was big and nice. The apartments were of different sizes with balconies, and very nice and clean. The studio apartment was the smallest and had three big closets and a big bathroom. They provided a van for rides to different places. The dining facilities were really nice with chefs who did the cooking. They provided movies and games and had large grounds and a walking path. I liked the size of this nice, open, friendly place. The staff seemed very nice, and all of the residents were happy and smiling.

My mother is in Sierra Hills, and she is very happy there. It is an excellent facility. What stands out is the proximity of the facility to the family. The family can come up here two or three times a week. The manager I interviewed is really excellent and I really like her. I think the management staff makes a big difference. I think they are doing a really good job. So far, I think she’s fine, and she is very happy there. I will absolutely recommend this to others, especially if their parents are home alone and not having companionship, as that is really detrimental to their health. They have caregivers that don’t work for the facility, but they are on site and much cheaper than in-house. More importantly also is socialization, especially for my mom. I am really pleased with this facility, and a lot of that goes to back to the management team they have in there. Cathy in particular knows every resident by name. She watches out for them. My mom is watched out for now 24 hours a day, yet still has her independent living status. For us, that provides us security to sleep well at night too.

My friend's mother moved into this facility a number of years ago and I have tagged along with her to visit frequently. I have always been impressed by the level of activity going on at Sierra Hills. Every time we visit we hear announcements of some new activity. The last time it was for Nickel Bingo. Staff and residents alike seem to be cheerful and over time some of the staffers have gotten to where they recognize not just my friend who visits multiple times a week but also me, who tags along just once in a while. My friend's mother says she is very happy living at Sierra Hills, and it shows as she is doing better than ever since moving into this place. She still has the privacy of her own apartment with a balcony, and her cats were allowed to move in with her. However she doesn't have to deal with the housework and cooking that was becoming too much for her as she got older since the facility takes care of all these things for her. Instead she gets to spend her time with the friends she has made, visiting each others apartments, in many of the common areas, or when the weather is nice, outside in the gardens.

I have a relative staying here at the moment. The facility appears new and well cared for. The interior appears similar to an upscale business hotel. The commons areas were decorated for the holidays and there appear to be plenty of activities. The room where my relative stays is a bit spartan although it was the only one available as there appears to be a long waiting list. The dining room looked clean and the staff was attentive, friendly, and constantly on the move. The food looked a bit institutional but appetizing.
