Our New Life at Stoneridge Creek We just celebrated our one year anniversary at SRC in January. After living in our country home that we loved for 43 years, we moved into SRC, after making the decision that our house was just too big and too much to care for at this stage in our lives. We never expected to move to a Senior Community, however after visiting SRC and finding out all the benefits of a CCRC, it was easy to make the decision (but the move was NOT EASY). We couldn’t be happier! We feel like we are on a perpetual vacation with endless opportunities for activities, exercise, intellectual stimulation, socialization, good food, health resources and safety. We love the convenience of so many opportunities right here on campus. We have more socialization here, have made many new wonderful friends and have the opportunity to join in new activities, new exercise classes we haven’t done before, endless wonderful music programs, movies and excursions off campus to places like Filoli, California Academy of Sciences and more museums, sporting events, wine tours….on and on. We have our own community garden bed and hope to start using the wood shop this year. The three restaurants offer many dining choices, so the need to cook is minimal. Plus our maintenance needs are taken care of and we have a cleaning service bi-weekly. We are so happy at SRC and our adult children are happy that we are here as well. We have given ourselves and our family a beautiful gift by moving here, as we traverse our golden years in comfort and style!

This facility is 420 acres of nicely landscaped flat ground. Our garden terrace is more than ample and we have a large deck overlooking a fountain - we added a solar shade for those summer days. The staff here is wonderful and caring. We have three restaurants to choose from and the menus are always changing. I enjoy playing pool and walking the facility (1 mile around the perimeter), the neighborhood and some local shopping. I joined the computer committee where we advise management on our resident portal and help other residents with their computer issues. No one will be bored here.

We've lived here in independent living for 10 years. (We're among the original pioneers!) We have NO regrets. Moving here was one of our best decisions ever. Social life is active, opportunities for activities abound, and the food is great. What's not to love?!

On multiple visits to the property, my husband and I have been impressed with the courteous, respectful, genuinely friendly staff, the beautiful grounds, the robust activities calendar and healthy yummy food. We are excited to be on the Ready Movers List and can't wait to become a resident. Our Senior Residency Counselor's professionalism, attention to detail, never-ending smile and upbeat spirit has been so appreciated during every part of the process.

I went to Stoneridge Creek. It's a beautiful facility. I had lunch there and the meal was amazing. I think they have very quality chefs. The rooms were very nice, and the facility was very nice itself. They've got several swimming pools, a gym, and a craft room. It's quite nice, but it's very expensive and it's something that probably the average citizen isn't going to be able to afford. For a studio, you have to put somewhere between $400,000 and $500,000 down. You do get 75% of that down payment back when you die or leave, but it's still quite expensive for people to do it. They have assisted living and more acute care. They also have a little hospital there. The people I've talked to loved it. The staff members were very nice. That place is so expensive that if the staff members weren't good, I don't think the residents would be able to be there very long. I only saw a one-bedroom and it's small. It had a single room with a full kitchen, a little eating area, a living room, and then there was a bedroom and bathroom off the living room. They had a personal trainer at the gym. I saw one swimming pool that was for the handicapped. They had a hoist that puts people into the pool. There are exercise classes, and there's quite a large craft area where you can bring your crafts and store them. The grounds are very well kept and very beautiful, and it is a gated community.

My husband and I arrived at Stoneridge Creek nearly three years ago and each day we feel as if we are living a dream in Tuscany. The variety of activities from entertainment to physical and mental fitness keep us feeling young and vital each day. The location of Stoneridge Creek is perfect. We enjoy access to wineries, shopping and hiking and bicycle trails. We have had a couple of health issues that necessitated assistance from the Stoneridge Creek staff. In every case, their knowledge and skills exceeded anything we could wish for and reinforced our confidence that this is the place to be at this time in life.

I'm currently staying at Stoneridge Creek and it's very nice. I like that I don't have to cook, I don't have to clean, and there are people around and then I get one meal a day. One meal a day is included in our fee. There are all kinds of things, although everything is partial, because of COVID. They have an art room, they have a clothing room, they have a workshop, they have exercises, a pool and they have excursions that we can sign up for. It's very nice. The direct staff is wonderful, we get a little frustrated at the senior staff as they make decisions we don't like. They have all different sizes of rooms. And before you move in, they're completely repainted and everything is redone, and they're very nice. If there's something that needs improvement, it's probably the food. The food is not 5-stars as they promised, it's just ok. A lot of things are very good, they have the problem with short staffing as everybody does right now, but they work towards making it good as much as they can.

We moved here almost a year ago. It is time to write down our experience and our thinking process of choosing a retirement community. We lived in Danville for over 32 years. After our four kids left home, we decided to downsize. Where to is the million dollar question. We really didn't feel like going through the cycle of selling, moving, buying another house then selling and moving again. So we bit the bullet and decided to look for a retirement community and do the last move of our lives, even though we are relatively young - late 60s. We looked around. We knew we wanted a community with large spread of land to walk around and play sports, strong health care facility inside, close to everything we care about - food, ease to go to SF for shows and restaurants, within an hour of driving to any of our four kids in the Bay Area, and shopping like Costco, Ranch 99 and Asian food! The choice is very limited for all of these needs. Stoneridge Creek was it. Most other CCRCs (Continuing Care Retirement Community) in the Bay Area are built around high rises with very little land around it because it is the Bay Area where land is crazily expensive. We just knew we didn't want to ride elevators up and down all day if we move there! After a year here, all of the above have been proven to be the case for us. But the biggest surprise about this place is the amazing people here. Because it is in the middle of the Bay Area, we have the most diverse, interesting, educated, highly accomplished residents here. We have made more good friends in one year here than all of our 32 years in Danville! Practically everyday we engage in deep conversations with some residents where we all learn from each other. Our advice to people in similar position as ours: Don't wait too long. Move while you are still vigorous so you can learn new things and friends. Also you may not pass the mental agility test if you wait too long! Don't worry about your stuff in your big house. Believe me, none of your kids or friends would want your furniture or decoration. Donate them and let some other people enjoy them. Get rid of them and build a new life for the last 20 to 30 years of your life. Don't waste the most important years just because you can't part with your stuff. They are not important. We lived in a 7000-foot house, we thought it was impossible to make the move to Stoneridge. We are so happy now having done that. No gardener, no pool guy, no house cleaning, no worries about maintenance, just spend time having fun, learning pickleball, joining committees, making new friends, and even did a solo concert. Do we, as residents, have worries about Stoneridge Creek despite the fact that it is just as great a place as any CCRC can be? To be honest, yes. Primarily because of yearly monthly fee increases which many residents worry about because of the uncertain nature of the matter. What makes me feel hopeful that we can reduce the amount of uncertainty is the fact that management and owners here seem to be willing to have more transparency and working relationship with some of our residents with deep background in finance, health care, management, IT, etc. I will come back here in about 9 months to report progress on that front.

There are so many things that we enjoy and value here, at Stoneridge Creek. Top of the list is the Reception Desk, at the Clubhouse. The people there have helped us with so many things, from "How to find anything, on campus." "Want a ride home?" "Who to call for any services". Transportation! Food Services! Health services! ....and a LIBRARY!

My wife and I moved here 3 1/2 years ago. We had been thinking for some time about finding a place to retire. We had been living in townhouses and condos for 25+ years and wanted more community than seniors typically get in those environments. One visit to SRC was all it took to decide this was the place for us. We were immediately struck by the friendly and welcoming residents and staff. We could see residents enjoying the company of each other - people we met that day are friends now. Yes, SRC has nice grounds, good food, great residences, continuing care, but so do a lot of places. Here, it's the people. Our experience during Covid has done nothing but reinforce our original opinion - SRC is a caring COMMUNITY and we're glad to be here: staff and management have kept us safe, residents have buoyed us when things felt dark. Can't recommend SRC enough

My husband and I met with the Senior Residency Counselor for a tour of Stoneridge Creek. It is so beautiful, with plentiful, well-maintained residences, facilities, amenities, and common areas. We had a delicious lunch outdoors with our host and felt like we were eating at a fancy country club. There are more activities available than I can even remember, including gorgeous pools, 3 restaurants, yoga and dance classes, an observatory, library, and crafts rooms. The Residency Counselor did not do a hard sell, but he was so welcoming and knowledgeable that we felt right at home. When we are ready to sell our home, we will look forward to the Stoneridge Creek lifestyle, free of ownership responsibilities, with time to enjoy all that community has to offer.

I took a tour with Nancy for a place for my grandparents, and she was so incredibly helpful! She knew the answer to every single one of my questions. I really appreciated her kindness, understanding, and empathy for our situation. The community is beautiful, and seems like a really great place to move to. I hope there's availability there when I eventually retire!

I have enjoyed the many first-class facilities and activities of Stoneridge Creek for nearly eight years. My favorite is the Wood Shop. We make projects for our own use, for gifts, and for selling at the SRC crafts fairs. We are often able to repair furniture and other items for our fellow residents. The Wood Shop has provided a great a place to make friends and spend time with the men and women who enjoy these activities.

Stoneridge Creek is opening back up from Covid restrictions! It is s slow process, ut we are following all the county requirements and each week something more is available!!! Kudos for keeping us super safe during the Covid shutdown and getting us our vaccines! Now we are ramping up activities here! The pools are open! I see more and more residents out and about during the day. My Bocce Ball team is currently in 2nd place! And it's grand to see everyone in the restaurants! The chef keeps preparing new recipes to delight all of us! People are smiling and enjoying all the amenities that we have! Life is GREAT!

My mother moved into Stoneridge Creek last December. She is very happy with her well-appointed and freshly redone one bedroom unit. The staff, from housekeeping to maintenance to meal service, are friendly and helpful. The amenities and characteristics of the property are similar to those of a high-end timeshare resort. The entire move-in process was effortless due to the excellent residency counselors and marketing staff.

It’s mid-March and I am so thrilled that much of our life here at SRC is opening up again! Dining venues are almost all open, fitness is having a soft reopening, billiards are coming back and even the Movie Theater is opening next week! Yay! I am so pleased at how well the management here has safely protected us over the part year with only 2 Covid cases among residents. And now we have Herd Immunity since the residents are 99% vaccinated and the staff is 85% vaccinated! Life is almost back to normal and this year has reinforced my great decision to move here almost 5 years ago. I am so happy that I live at Stoneridge Creek!

Oh, my goodness--we are so lucky to be living in this beautiful community! We have 52 acres to walk around in the fresh air, and plenty of zoom lectures, fitness, and entertainment to keep us occupied. I've been enjoying daily online bridge with my friends--beside being such a good mind-stimulator, we can talk and laugh as we play. The food (delivered or pick-up) continues to be outstanding, with a wide variety of selections. The vaccine has already been administered to Creekview, our assisted living/skilled nursing/memory care facility on the property. New people are being welcomed and are excited to join our community.

My husband John and I love it here! Moving to Stoneridge Creek two and a half years ago was one of our best decisions. The atmosphere provided by the beautiful grounds and well built facilities gives us a sense of pleasure whenever we leave our home. There are wonderful trails to walk within the grounds and going into the clubhouse and restaurants is a treat. Everything we see is first class and well maintained. The many activities provided to us has been a huge treat. There are numerous clubs, classes, excursions and on site entertainment. The quality of the instruction and entertainment is outstanding. There is something for everyone's interest. We have taken up new hobbies and sports here that we never imagined we'd have an interest in! The amenities include three restaurants with a variety of food choices, two swimming pools, a dedicated fitness studio and a gymnasium for the various classes. There seems to be activity going on wherever one goes. Lastly, the staff as well as the residents are wonderful. Every one of the staff members seems to enjoy their jobs and they go out of their way to meet our needs, large and small. Obviously this comes from the top down, and we see that all staff are treated with compassion and respect. Our fellow residents have been a delight to get to know. They have been welcoming and inclusive in getting us involved. Again, we are delighted to be living here at Stoneridge Creek.

After almost three years and experiencing the Covid pandemic, I rate Stoneridge at the top. The care, thoughtfulness and creativity to help keep residents and staff safe and not get worried or too cranky has been impressive. The many places to enjoy quiet and peacefulness surrounded by beautiful gardens, waterfalls, art and birds of every kind make isolation bearable. And as restrictions lighten up, the fun of being with friends safely has been terrific.

At 76, our priority was to continue life in the East Bay where we had lived for more that 40 years. We focused on SRC because our family does not live nearby, and we wanted the comfort of knowing our health and living needs would be met by assisted living or nursing care all on the same campus. We moved in May 2019 under the guidance of Mary. The process could not have been better, and we continually reflect on the wisdom of making this choice while we were young and healthy. On arrival my wife experienced hip pain and ended up having both hips replaced. Walkers, transport chairs and canes were all provided. Her recovery was greatly enhanced by the availability of physical therapists at Creekside who came to our apartment for PT. She was able to use the pools to water walk and speed her return to health. The nursing staff on site came to us to change dressings and check to be sure all was going well. We love the architectural beauty of the campus and all the landscaping touches that make us feel like we might be living in Italy in an Italian Villa. We enjoy the entertainment, pools, exercise options and the location. We have access to parks, biking and wineries. We could go on but suffice to say we are grateful each day for the privilege of living in such a wonderful place.

A couple of years ago, our daughters in Chicago started to discuss the option of us moving closer to them so they will be able to take care of us when in need. Not willing to leave the warm California climate, we started to consider moving into a CCRC community to ease their worry. After some searching and comparing, we chose Stoneridgecreek (SRC) in Pleasanton. The SRC campus is conveniently located. It is spacious and beautiful. There are a variety of dinning options with tasty dishes to choose from. There are also many programs to help keep the residents physically active, mentally challenged and culturally enriched. The residents are friendly and rich in life experiences to share. We enjoy the relaxed and worry free living here and value the security and peace of mind we’ve experienced. The on-site 24/7 emergency help reassures us and our children we will be under good care when in need. When COVID-19 began, we have witnessed SRC management and staff making timely changes not only comply to the State guidelines but also continue to provide residents with well planned meals, activities and services. We are nervous about the virus. But it is comforting to know there is a dedicated and caring team in SRC working hard to protect us. Thank you Stoneridgecreek!

My wife and I moved into Stoneridge Creek in April 2018. We are surrounded by hundreds happy & friendly residents. So far, we did not meet even one single resident who regrets on their move in. We feel safe & go to bed every night with utmost peace of mind. 2020 COVID-19 pandemics time reinforces us more on the benefits, protection & trust on management on all provided services. Warm Meals are delivered to our door at set time. Medical Assistant & Facility, Peace & Harmony Environment, Active Events are visible or warmly felt in the campus. There are 18 Committees and 19 Clubs to communicate between residents and management. Resident Council, Finance, Food & Beverage, Sports Planning, Facility Upkeep & Enhancement, Painting …… etc. are open to all residents who can either serve as committee members or attend meetings as active participants. A high rate of residents’ participation in every committees and clubs is a good indication of residents’ ownership and satisfaction. Come for a visit to our Sale Office. Stoneridge Creek. Pandemics? what pandemics? This is exactly how I felt in the past few months. A peace of mind is what Stoneridge Creek gives me during the shelter-in-place time. I really have to praise what the managements have done for the residents here, from fulfilling our physical needs to satisfying our mentional needs. From day one, meals, snacks, drinks, etc. were delivered to our doorstep. You need more? no problem, there's a virtual market for us to order what we need, the staff will pick it up and, again, deliver to our front door. All the weight gain jokes from shelter-in-place will not work in Stoneridge Creek. We have all kinds of Zoom exercises, lectures, classes and games to fill up our days. I feel so fortunate that I'm in this community during this difficult time. I don't have to worry about where to get food, I don't have to fight for the groceries, I don't have to be nervous on all the "IF's". I know I'm safe here, I know I have been taken good care of by Stoneridge Creek, my family can also be relaxed and worry free. Thank you, Stoneridge Creek. You are the best!

I feel so lucky to live in this award-winning continuing-life retirement community. The staff is wonderful. Their care for our residents shows, especially during this pandemic. We all want to be safe from COVID-19. To comply with local government regulations ,the staff works hard to ensure our health and safety. For example, we are not allowed to dine in any of our three restaurants. Instead, the staff works diligently to deliver our individual meals directly to our doorsteps. This is not an easy task; there are more than eight hundreds of residents in our community. The staff also helps our residents stay active and connected with each other. Through Zoom, the staff provides fitness classes, lectures, painting classes, and games. So, even though we have to shelter-in-place, we continue to have fun! I like that I can stay connected with my fellow residents. The residents are helpful and kind, always making me feel welcome and at home. I have made many friends since I moved in two years ago, and I really treasure these friendships. I am grateful to live in this wonderful community, where we, residents and staff, work together to stay healthy and live safely through this horrible pandemic. Thank you SRC, I truly enjoy living here.

Our last review was in January, 2020, and a lot has changed since then. Of course, the BIG changer has been COVID-19, which has affected our lives in many ways, both outside Stoneridge Creek and within. Stoneridge Creek management can't change what occurs outside of our community, but they have significant control of what occurs within. In my opinion, they have done a yeoman's job in reorganizing virtually every aspect of this community to meet government requirements, while at the same time modifying processes and procedures to reduce the negative impact on residents. And they continually fine tune them. Several examples of necessary changes from the 'old normal' are delivering food to our apartments because the dining rooms were closed. We would sometimes find surprise treats added to our delivered food. Artistic staff would sometimes decorate out food shopping bags with fun artwork. Our Activities department organized Zoom exercise classes when the exercise gym had to be closed. For the 4th of July, a western band on a flatbed truck was brought in to drive through the community, stopping periodically so residents could listen and dance. Our very adequate Pantry was put on steroids by adding many more items so residents wouldn't have to go out outside the community and risk getting affected. And, the purchased items are delivered! There are many more examples, some small, but all designed to keep our spirits up during these difficult times. One very positive aspect of this upside-down period we are living in is that many staff member's jobs were changed to provide the work needed to meet the new task requirements e.g., package and deliver food, deliver packages and pantry orders. etc. The result of this is has been minimal staff reductions. Staff members have been great through all of this by being pretty much there old, cheery selves. While we would much rather be operating as before, Stoneridge Creek is providing an exceptional 'modified' life style.

Glad that we made the right decision to move from Santa Rosa after living there for 45 years to the Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community 2 years ago with its ideal location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We were lucky to have a blend new 3 bedrooms unit up on the 3rd floor facing a courtyard and the outdoor swimming pool. Within the campus, there are many sport activities you can do. For us, we like to play tennis, pickleball, shooting pool and ping pong. If you want to be active in the community, there are 64 clubs and committees you can join, not to mention the many classes, lectures, concerts and outings that you can participating in. According to our friends who have visited us, they were amazed with the food we have in SRC. They said we are like living on cruise ships, except it is on land. With the continuous care facility right on campus, it gives us a peace of mind in case we do need that in the future. However, the thing we treasure the most is the many new friends we have made here. It is like living in a summer camp with your friends everyday!!!!! Finally, I have to say the management team in SRC has done a fantastic job in keeping all the ~1000 residents safe from the COVID19. Our daily meals are delivered to our unit. You can order groceries to be delivered without service charge. They even tried to entertain us with a dance troupe going around the campus, gave us thoughtful gifts and treats and called us on the phone to see how we are doing from time to time. That really showed that they really care for the well-being of their residents. Just can't say enough good thing about living in SRC!!!!! Ed

We moved in the Stoneridge Creek when in opened in September of 2013. After 6 years here we still love it and are so happy we are able to live here. As a continuing care community, there is assisted living and skilled nursing on site should we need it. The staff are kind and fun. The food is excellent with much variety, and the activities are endless. Our advice is to move in before you think you need it so you can participate in all activities and make good friends.

Stoneridge Creek's facilities are fantastic. It's very large and has the largest amount of amenities. They have very good food except they only serve one meal a day. They have a pool and they showed me a fairly extensive list of possible activities. At first blush, it looks like a superb facility, with excellent capabilities, and absolutely wonderful furnishings, but if you think about going downhill from there to needing help, then it drops off dramatically. Their food is not gourmet, but it's very good. The place itself is beautiful and gorgeous.

Stoneridge Creek is large. It has about 900 units, with single family residents and apartments. It's high-end, expensive, and well-done. There were lots of really nice landscaping. They have bocce ball courts, tennis courts, bicycle trails, and 3 restaurants. They have a separate facility for assisted care and a nursing home onsite. They've been open 3 years and they're already full.

Stoneridge Creek was absolutely fabuluos. Everything about it was good, except it's a buy-in, so you have to come up with $3,800 a month to live there. However, it's cheaper by the month than other communities. They had exercise classes and a beautiful pool. The pool was indoor and outdoor because the roof opens. The chefs were tops. I mean, their food was like you're in the Taj Mahal. Definitely, Stoneridge Creek was a beautiful place.

We visited Stoneridge Creek. It was extremely elegant, gorgeous, and posh and had incredible facilities. However, it was very expensive. It had separate dining rooms. Uou buy an apartment or condo, or little casitas, and as you age, you move up to assisted living or nursing. A lot of the residents were my friends. It was a warm place with good food. They had everything and took them places for shopping, doctors, or wherever you want.

Stoneridge Creek was top of the line, very nice, and had everything you could imagine, like swimming pools, libraries, and a beautiful dining room. There were residents playing pool and shuttles taking the residents to San Francisco and other places.

Stoneridge Creek is near where my daughter lives, but it was relatively high in price. The scenery was very nice, no question. It would be fun to live there. It’s a well-run facility and we liked it there. We had one meal and the food was very good.

It has impressed us enough that we put our name down on the waiting list. They offer everything, and it is not a rental type of thing, but you buy a unit -- whether it is an apartment or a studio or what they call the villa and I guess they are even offering penthouses -- varied in price, but you never own titles to the property, so you can't borrow against it. What you do is buy an interest, and they furnish everything. Long-term care and everything else, they have a facility for that. It is on a 48- acre plot in Pleasanton, and it is very nicely and professionally done. There is no question about it. It is secure. In fact the last time we went down there, we had more trouble getting in than anything else that I have come across. We came up to the guard house, the window was closed as there was nobody there, so we drove on up to the gate. Well, the gate doesn't open. So we honked, and finally somebody opened up the gate and we got in. They wanted to know what we were doing and who we came to see. It is very secure as far as I am concerned -- well-fenced. Stoneridge Creek has their own restaurant, they have exercise facilities, it is well-staffed during the day, and they have a very large pool that has a retractable roof on it. It is very professionally done, and we were very much impressed. It is very hard to beat, and we haven't come across anything better or have heard of anything better. You buy the place, you have your interest, and they give you one meal a day whether it would be breakfast, lunch, or dinner, which is enough for us. It is new and well-maintained. Of course being fairly new, it is easy to maintain, but we were very impressed.

I think Stoneridge Creek is excellent. They have a lot of activities. The apartment we selected is 1,200 square feet with two bedrooms and two baths. We had lunch there, and the food was very good. They have a large pool, tennis courts, biking trails, and walking trails, and then they have individual meetings of different groups all the time from yoga to chair yoga to their foreign policy group. I believe they have about 400 people.

Stoneridge Creek was bigger, cleaner, and spread out a little bit. It was very nice, and it was more expensive than the other ones I have visited. It has a nice swimming pool. Everything was very clean, and the facilities are actually better than those in other places.

I visited Stoneridge Creek because I knew somebody who lived there. I didn't have a formal tour, but my friend gave me the tour. I thought it was pretty. I just didn't see any interaction because it was evening, but I thought the facility was lovely. It's brand new and I didn't see anything negative about it. It was very comfortable with lots of recreational activities. She showed me her apartment -- I can't remember if it was two bedroom -- but what I liked was that they had shift bedrooms, in case someone wanted to visit you overnight and that was a real plus factor too.

Stoneridge Creek Retirement Community has a lot better features than all the others. I am not quite ready for an advanced care place, but it is independent living, and it is very nice. It is like a cruise ship. We have a lot of activities, including meals and so forth. We have trips, lectures, movies, arts and crafts, and Bingo. The dining room is very nice; it is like a restaurant. I like that it is brand new.

StoneRidge Creek Pleasanton is an absolutely incredible facility. They have a huge swimming pool and golf. course It's really sensational. It has three different restaurants. It has a private room and television room for showing movies. It's quite impressive. It also has a billiard's room for men. It's one of the places where you need to buy in to. I was so impressed with the facility and I couldn’t believe that place like this existed.

Stoneridge Creek will be having its grand opening this October. Our visit to this community was fine. Their staff was very helpful. They have 42-acre of land and they have three different types of accommodations. They have the high-rise apartment building, they have right by the pool area some very lovely apartments, and then they have a whole host of independent living homes. They also have separate facilities for extended care, for dementia care and for assisted living.

My wife and I were looking for a place and we went to Stoneridge Creek Pleasanton Retirement Living. The facility had a lot of features that were attractive for seniors like us.
