I moved into Soldano Senior Village Apartments, and I have a roommate, so it's a two-bedroom. A lot of people here have caregivers, but I live independently in my apartment. It is a very nice gated community. I like the fact that I feel safe in here. I could walk through the parking lot. The grounds are kept very well. Management is on top of things they need to be on. It's a very nice area. It's close to a park. You can walk over and sit on the park benches. I would speak very highly of the area itself. If you don't have a key or a key code to get in the gate, you may not get in. The staff is very helpful. The two maintenance men that I deal with and the leasing agent are very helpful and very good. They have little get-togethers in their dayroom or their clubhouse. They have something every holiday. They had something for Cinco de Mayo. Management cooked tacos, served drinks, and ran a raffle where they gave out gifts. They also had something for Mother's Day. They have a little gym, a pool, and a jacuzzi. The clubhouse has a big TV, and you can sit in there or have your lunch there. It's a very nice place. I'm cooking my own meals, but I've seen people getting meals delivered. It's a five-star place. They always have something in the cabana, and they keep it clean, and it's well stocked. I'm splitting the rent cost with someone, and I think the value for money is pretty good.

I visited the senior apartments of Soldano Senior Village in Azusa. It was too far away from my family, and I just didn't like the layout. It just didn't appeal to me. Another thing is that it had a lot of steps. I saw the pool outside, but I don't really swim, and the water didn't interest me. I also saw a library and an activity room, which is a big room. The place was clean, and the person who gave the tour was nice.
