"My son-in-law is at Diversicare of Winfield. They have not been honest with me, and they keep me running in circles. There's church service every Sunday morning, he has a roommate, and they have a lady that comes and does housekeeping. The majority of the staff is not good, and are nasty in a way."

"My mother was transferred to Windsor Place from her assisted living community, and we've been extremely pleased with them. We've only been there three weeks, and so far everything has been great. The staff is good, and we feel like their covid protocol is really right on top of it. We've been very pleased with everything that we've seen, with the exception of one nurse, and she's only one of about 15 that I've met."

"My friend has only been in Garden Suites Assisted Living for three weeks now. The first two weeks, she was in quarantine, so that was kind of hard on her because she was in the room by herself, but they were really nice to her. This past week is the first time she's been able to get out and visit with the residents and I got to go visit her. She seems to be doing okay. She wanted to go in there, so she could get physical therapy and rehabilitate and hopefully not have to make it a permanent home. She's still got a ways to go. She chose to get the larger room. It has the private bath with the shower with a seat in it and she's got a little bedroom area and a little den area and she's got plenty of room. The only thing they're not allowed in the assisted living is to have a kitchen. That's the only thing that she was a little bit upset about. I personally don't think that's a bad thing because she's real shaky and I can see where she could easily put something on a microwave and hurt herself, but the living arrangements are fine. She told me the meals are good, but she was a little frustrated the other day because they brought her a list and asked her things she did like and didn't like, and for breakfast, they brought her things she didn't like. She said, "I'm not sure what the point of filling that thing out was if they're gonna send me stuff I don't eat." That was just that one time though. The rest of the time, she said it's been okay. They've been wonderful. They've done everything they can possibly do to help her and me to make this adjustment. She didn't get to participate in the Christmas party because she was in quarantine, but for New Year's, they had a little New Year's party and they had treats in the dining area and they played bingo. With the quarantine, it's been kind of hard. They would have someone come up there and perform for them every Sunday and entertain the guests. With the pandemic, they try to limit visitation and people coming up there because they have had some Covid in there and they've had to quarantine the whole unit. We had to wait two weeks to take my friend because right before she was supposed to go in, two people had tested positive with Covid, so they just closed it. They're very limited right now, but they used to have a lot of activities and a lot of people coming up there helping with the activities and that was the reason I chose this place. My sister-in-law had an aunt in there, and she would go up there with her aunt and help with bingo and other games that they would play. They have a big TV room if they want to go in there and watch TV together or they can have one in their rooms. When I go in to see my friend, they're sitting in there with their masks on, but they're all kind of watching TV together, so they have someone to talk to and they're not living in there all the time by themselves. It's gonna get better, but for right now they're very limited. I am able to visit her right now, so that's a good thing. My sister-in-law said the staff did a wonderful job. They're doing the best they can. It's very clean and when you walk in, everything looks nice, tidy, clean, and inviting. They're doing a really great job. For this area, the price is very appropriate because it's much higher in other areas. It's very reasonable. The staff has been great."

"I live in Collierville, TN. My mother is 84 and has been to Golden Living Nursing Home in Amory, MS, my home town. We need to move her closer to me. The price of her private room doubled and we can no longer afford to pay the difference. She has Medicare, Medicaid and Blue Cross. My mother qualified in the Diversion Program of Medicaid and is now in an assisted living facility. However, I am looking at other options. Mom moved into her community and she loves it there. She thinks the staff is terrific, very conscientious, helpful and warm. I haven't heard her that happy in many, many years. I don't know if I would have even looked at this community if it weren't for your suggestions and help with the process, including the financial advice. But I had to move her near my place. It's been a great journey for mom to stay in Golden Living Center. "

"Nice caring staff. The place is clean and has an inviting feeling. They have planned activities twice a day M-F. Would be nice if there were more weekend activities. The rooms come in singles and doubles. The residents who continue to drive can have their own vehicles and are free to come and go. Families are welcome to visit or take family member residents out for the day or longer. "

"What I like about Trinity Place Retirement Community is we can come and go as we want to. The staff is really good. I have a one bedroom and I have plenty of room. Sometimes the food is really good, sometimes it's not. We get one meal a day. They have a lot of activities. They have exercises three times a week that I try to go to. They have a beauty parlor, too. The facility is pretty good. I would recommend it. They just went up on their rent so some had to move, but it's probably one of the cheapest places I could find."

"We are in the process of moving my mom into Garden Hill Assisted Living. They were very helpful and very willing to meet my mother's needs. They're working hard at getting my mom in there. The room is in wonderful shape. I've only met one staff member and spoken to the director on the phone, both of whom were very helpful. They had a couple of different dining halls, a sitting area where they could have activities together, and an indoor and outdoor activity area. All of them were impeccable. My mother went with me to see everything, and she enjoyed it all, as well. It was a joint decision, and she agreed that this is the best place for her."

"I'm very pleased with Collegeview Personal Care Home. They're very caring and very attentive to the residents. They have a small community. They only have six residents in the entire place, so they get a lot of care. My mother has a private room with private bath. It has all the amenities, a television, and a patio where the residents can go out and sit. It's right across the street from me. It's a very nice place. The staff is very good. The food is excellent. I had lunch with her today, and it was very good. They have games for the people to play, they have a sing-along once in a while, they have somebody come in and play an instrument, and the guests are actually allowed to ride with the owner. She takes them on rides in her car, and they enjoy that."
