Our Story Nurse Next Door Raleigh owner, Michelle Greer is passionate about bringing the highest quality home care services to the neighborhoods of Raleigh, Garner, Clayton, Smithfield, Knightdale, Wendell and Cary. Michelle has almost a decade of experience in making lives better. Starting her healthcare career as a private duty home care aide, Michelle then went on to undertake her Nurse Aide 1 training and took on a role in the memory care unit in an assisted living facility. Michelle’s passion for home care saw her maintain her private duty clients as she progressed through her Registered Nurse program. After graduating, Michelle worked for a large multi-hospital health system but missed the deep connections and lasting impact that home care provides - she has been focused on home care ever since. Michelle’s passion for keeping people safe at home isn’t just professional - it’s personal. Michelle’s mother lived with cancer for many years. As she faced challenges towards the end of her battle, she would often talk about how she would like to spend the time she had left and how it was so important to her to stay in her own home. The experience of being a caregiver and also a daughter needing care for a loved one gave Michelle a new perspective on home care, and how life-changing it can be for families in need. It was Nurse Next Door’s values, especially the commitment to admiring people, that initially caught Michelle’s attention. It was a perfect match to her own values and so she is now committed to sharing the wealth with the local community. Michelle is dedicated to admiring our caregiving team, the clients we serve, their families, loved ones and everyone in between. Michelle is focused on building that Nurse Next Door is the go-to home care provider for clients and caregivers alike. Providing seniors and their families with the choice to age in place is a powerful thing, and a responsibility Michelle takes very seriously.
