My grandma was here for over 3 months. They were so caring, honest and helpful. They helped us tackle insurance, told us what to expect, answered every question we threw at them. They formed a relationship with her and with us. I'm so glad we chose this place. This place is surrounded in trees and wildlife, service animals come and visit, the rooms are private and spacious; they made her feel included, not alone and they listened to her. Towards the end they made her comfortable and called us right away with the news. No hospice place is perfect, especially when it deals with someone you love, but they worked hard to make sure her needs and ours were taken care of.

Unfortunately all hospices are not the same and you really need to interview more than 1 to know this. They admitted my family member on Monday and didn't return til Thursday in spite of the fact that she needed medication changes. A person with a limited life expectancy needs to have needs taken care of sooner than later. Also on the first visit they were very quick to want to manage everything with xannax and morphine. Do you homework before choosing any hospice make sure they meet your needs. Woodland did not meet ours.

At a time when we didn't even know what we needed, Woodland Hospice met our needs with compassion and comfort. The surroundings are peaceful, homelike and comforting. Their knowledge of what our loved one was experiencing took a load off our minds and hearts, and they cared for us - the family members - as kindly as they cared for our dying loved one. My only regret is that we didn't get them involved sooner than we did.
