My only gripe with ADDUS is that they will deduct hours out of other days that they stay overtime and will leave you without any sort of notice until the following day when you’re already expecting them and you can’t ride with them anywhere no matter how short the distance, come rain, sleet or snow you’ll have to walk or take the bus.

The caregivers themselves are either terrific or incompetent, but the latter could be because management in the Mt. Vernon office is unbelievably disorganized and frustrating. I hate to say this, but I truly wonder if any of the office staff has a high school degree. Their intelligence and language skills, not to mention common courtesy is frightening. Visits get missed without giving the family notice; they will tell you they will do X, but a half hour later do Y; there have been numerous incidents of lack of communication among staff members which results in a lot of finger pointing.
