"My sister has been using Haven Home Health. They come in and the nurse takes her weight and they talk to her. We have the physical therapist come out and work with us two days a week. They stay anywhere from 35 to 45 minutes, and most of the time, it's the same person."

"My father who is 88+ y/o was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementia back in 2009 (meaning it was much longer before the diagnosis) and my mother became ill 2 days after Dad's discharge from the behavioral health hospital in December. Mother and Dad both received homecare from United Homecare based in West Monroe, LA. Mother passed away in October of 2010 and now I'm my father's sole caregiver... 36/7. I'm am disabled myself (successful renal transplant x2, but still have severe diabetic peripheral neuropathy post pancreas transplant) and were it not for my parents... well, you know. Needless to say, my income is quite limited. I have two older siblings, but get little if any help for various reasons (family conflict where nothing I do is correct, even wrong many times). I've also had to major CVA's of which were it not for my age and rehab, I couldn't do what I'm doing, but I make it. I'm my worse own critic by the way. "Only if" has begun to enter my mind more and more. I have anxiety and depression also. Many healthcare personnel have told me I need to take care of myself so that I can take care of my father. I understand, but I can't for many reasons. I have cancelled my own doctor's appointments as caring for Dad comes first! My physicians understand my predicament. I have the best! Untied Homecare's CNA, RN, PT when needed are the best! They show great care for my father, physically and emotionally. The way the present themselves to Dad and me is surreal in my opinion. I can't write in order to show how they care, but they care.I'm so very grateful for the care that United Homecare has and is giving my father. "
