Hospice House - Woodside

Although my dad was only there for a few days, the staff at Woodside made us feel like family and cared for him with great respect and dignity. They were not only there for my dad they were also there for my family. Chaplain Wally, the onsite chaplain even offered to do my dad's funeral service for us when we couldn't get a chaplain. Kudos to the staff especially the nurses and nurses aides who took great care of my dad. The doctors were also very helpful when we arrived there explaining what we could expect. I would recommend this hospice to anyone who is in need. The staff are wonderful and know how to help people in their time of need.

My father had been given just 6 months to live. Thanks to Woodside Villas, he lived on for 2 1/2 years! I've never seen such loving care given anywhere. My mother went to a nuirsing home in Florida for a non-life-threatening problem, and passed away 3 short months later! How I wish she could have gone to Woodside! My father thrived on all the loving care he received, and I can never thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff enough.

This facility far exceeded both my dying mother's and my expectations. She was so afraid of being put in a nursing home, but Woodside wasn't that at all. I was allowed to stay with her 24/7 throughout her sickness, until she died. The care takers are courteous, professional, personable - especially Angela, whom my mother loved and looked forward to seeing. The nurses are gentle but firm, and made sure she was getting the best care possible while keeping her and I informed of everything they were doing and why, every step of the way. They have counselors for both you and your loved one, they have clergy and a chapel, even a lunch service for visitors and loved ones. It's a place that felt more like home than hospital. My mom felt safe and loved when she died, and I know part of that was from the excellent care and fine facility in which she was located.
