We have been a client of Shining Star for over three years. They are so passionate about their care. They provide such detailed care to my parents. I couldn’t hope for anything better. Shining Star started out great for us but quickly declined in service. They canceled several times with no backup leaving us scrambling for coverage. We eventually hired a second individual caregiver as backup. Shining Star leveraged this to their advantage repeatedly using her to cover many of their shifts. Eventually, Shining Star resigned with a two week notice leaving a week prematurely - notifying us on a day they were supposed to be here. Very disappointing. I hope other clients have many levels of backup.

This last winter it became obvious that we needed some additional care for our aging father. After calling around and talking to several agencies we felt most comfortable with Shining Star's responses. Everything we felt during the interview process has been exactly the way the service has been provided. They really care for him both for his physical well being as well as his emotional state. And they only bill for the time they provide services. We have asked for an hour per time - which the other agencies require minimum of two hours before they would even consider giving service - not so with Shining Star. They take him for walks, help him with bathing, change bedding, make sure to let us know if there are any supplies we need to purchase they even do the wash for him when needed. We have been very pleased with their service and plan on using them for quite a while.

I have had several girls in my home, to help with mothers care. im not impressed by the inconsitancy of this agency, I WAS ALARMED BY THE FACT THAT MOST OF THESE CAREGIVERS WERE WELL INTO THIER 50 SAND OLDER,NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED HAVE DONE BETTER.

Mary C. interviewed the client and family to determine the suitability of her company's services for our elderly mother. As the owner of the company, she rotates through the list of clients in her business and checks the caregiving notes, the client's opinion of the caregiving staff, and the appropriateness of the care and caregivers' notes. She also notifies us, the family, if there are any special concerns, and leaves a shopping list to help us provide for her client's needs, things like raisen bread and dishwashing soap, lavender scented. The attention to Mother's well-being makes all the difference in our satisfaction with her services.
