Our House Senior Living - Reedsburg Assisted Care

My mom was at Our House Senior Living - Reedsburg Assisted Care for around 7 months. When you walk in, there's a beautiful room and a very nice sunroom. It was a beautiful facility, but the rooms were tiny. Our experience there was horrible. She was not cared for as she should have been. They didn't clean her room regularly. The food was awful. They prepared all their meals there and we assumed they meant home-cooked meals, but everything was heated up in the microwave or oven. They served fish sticks or chicken tenders, the frozen ones that they just heated. They were understaffed, and they appeared not to be trained. The girls that worked there were very nice, but not so much the 2 women that ran it. They didn't bring her medications when they should have. It was just a terrible experience, that's why we had to move her out. It was the worst. They should not be in business and I would not recommend it to anyone. There were no organized activities, so my mom just stayed in her room 24 hours a day.

My mother is at Our House Senior Living, she’s happy where she’s at, it’s a mile from my home, and there was a room available. It’s going great, she has three meals a day, they distribute her medicine for her, and it’s very comfortable. The staff is very good, her room is very small, and the shower is outside her room. It’s more expensive.
