We looked at Rosedale Village. The staff members were excellent. They're very friendly and very open. We were able to tour a unit. The activities are about the same as the other community. The rent is a little bit higher because it's in a higher-cost-of-living area. The staff members were accommodating.

We liked Rosedale Village. It is an over 55 community. We've been out there two to three times and we recently went out and chose a place we'd like to move into. We liked the fact that they're rentals, first of all. There weren't that many independent living communities that had rentals, and we decided we didn't want to purchase a house this time. They had a lot of availability because it's newer. They have about 82 units. It's a pretty large community. We're able to get into a place there soon. The staff was very welcoming. We met a couple of young women who showed us the various units and they're very friendly. All their units out there are about the same floor space. We had a choice of duplex units or single cottage units and my wife liked the single cottage and it's the best. They are a little more expensive, but they also have more modern kitchens in them, which she liked. The floor space is approximately equal whether they're single units or duplexes. They're all between 1400 and 1500 square feet. The atmosphere was very nice. It's a pleasant community. There's a space marked out in the street for parking. There's plenty of place for parking. They have a community center area and a large barbecue area that overlooks a greenbelt. They have two areas where people can gather. Most of the homes themselves are very similar. It didn't have a lot of extra things because it's just an over-55 community that's gated. They're just homes. Everything in that area is fairly close. It's part of Gig Harbor and it's on a port there, and it's very close to Tacoma. It's just across the Narrows Bridges. It's just within a couple of miles of some very big stores, like Costco and Metropolitan Market. There's a large medical center out there, too. It's very clean.
