The Lodge at Autumn Willow

I moved into The Lodge at Autumn Willow. It's very close to my son. It's brand new. They just opened their doors this month, and I was on the waiting list, so I got in. It has been a difficult process because everything was being handled through AI. So, until they actually opened, there was no one to communicate with. They would just send you to different robots, so that was very frustrating. However, I was able to complete all of the intake stuff, but it would have been very difficult for somebody who didn't have a lot of experience with computer-generated stuff. Now that I'm in, I just absolutely love it. Everybody is wonderful. I was one of the first ones who was selected, so that worked out for me very well. I'm very happy with it so far. My room is lovely. I have a full kitchen and all brand-new appliances. Everything is included. The internet is provided free of charge. Each unit has its own router. Everything so far has just been beautiful. The rooms are really quite large. I'm in a one-bedroom apartment. The shower is huge; you could put a bed in it. It's made for a roll-in wheelchair, so you can roll right in there, and there are two shower heads, so there are lots of rooms. I love that because I was able to put a small apartment-size washing machine for small loads right in my shower. They don't have a dining area. Every unit has a complete dining area. There are lots of places nearby. In fact, there are places you can walk to if you can walk. What I love about it is that there are trails around through the woods, and it's surrounded by lush trees wooded area, so it's really nice. The staff I've encountered since I've moved in has been wonderful and very, very helpful. I haven't been charged with anything yet, but I'm on a HUD voucher. They haven't actually figured it out, but the preliminary figure they gave me seemed very, very reasonable. Parking is great. There are lots of parking spaces. I'm on the second floor, but it's very close. My car is right out the door. They have quite a lot of handicapped parking spaces available for those who need them, and other parking seems to be quite sufficient. They also have an electric vehicle area where you can charge your vehicle.
