We toured the Wesley House. I would rate everything highly except for the price and the facilities. There was nothing wrong with it, it's just a little older and wasn't as sharp and new-looking, but it was still definitely nice. They cost a little more than the other places we toured. The rooms were okay, they were not as large as the other community, but they were clean. The staff that gave me the tour was very personable. She was a very senior person there, she had been there for 20 years so she knew the facility and the people. I did not eat the food, they were eating while we were there and the residents seemed to be enjoying the meal.

Wesley House is great. The staff is caring and they want mom to be happy and they're willing to do whatever it is. They're so helpful to us. I'm very pleased with them. She has one room, and it has a little kitchenette, a nice sized bathroom, a very large closet which is nice for her to have some storage, a full refrigerator, and a microwave, so it meets her needs for sure. They have a lot of different sitting areas throughout the facility. When we go, we don't have to sit in her room. We can go out to one of the many sitting areas and they have an activity room and the dining room. They have a nice library that's fully stocked with lots of books.

I spent a few hours there one Friday. They residents that came to play bingo were very happy. They received refreshments and the rule is every Friday after bingo they get to cash in their "winnings" for small things like decorations for their rooms, food/snacks, drinks, hygiene products, books and others. It was great to watch them enjoy themselves.

I visited Wesley House at Quitman and it's a very nice facility. I couldn't afford it. The room is adequate. I liked it, but I just couldn't afford it. I got a long term health policy, but it wouldn't cover it because they don’t have a nurse there 24 hours. I don't want to go to a nursing home yet. So as long as I could live in my own house, that's what I'm going to do.

Wesley House was a very nice place. You would have your own furniture in your own room. The place is not far from where I live. They have a lot of things for the senior citizens to do. And they do a lot of things for them as well. It seemed like they were staffed very well. They said that if you come on a Friday that the fish is delicious. I didn't see anything there I'd like to add; it was all very nicely put together. This is the only place I visited since I lived here in Quitman, and I know a lot of people here.
