My grandmother lived in this retirement community for almost 20 years, and she was extremely happy there. She was able to have her own "apartment" and still have the necessary help available to assist in her growing needs while she aged. She really enjoyed being able to stay independent, while also being able to enjoy the company of other residents. She had a kitchen, a bedroom and living room, and also cable tv. The only bad thing that happened was someone tried to break into her room through a outside window one night, fortunately my Mom was ther staying with her, and nothing major happened. The facility did what they could to make sure it didn't happen again. She eventually got to the point she needed additional care, but still did not want to give up her independence. Also, when she got to the point that cooking wasn't a option, there was a cafeteria she could go to have her meals. All in all a excellent place for her.
